My degree is in a totally unrelated field than my experience is in. When I look based on my degree, everyone want experience too and vice versa. Most of my resumes are going to recruiters who are just trying to find a reason to toss my resume. I feel sick.

Is there a way to overcome the security of a job that you're not really challenged by anymore, even though it provides a comfortable living?

i am currently a CNA at a local long term care facility. i'm 17 years old and that surprises a lot of people but anyways i love everything about my job except that it is so routine. i'm fine with blood and gore; it takes a lot to upset and phaze me. i've been thinking about becoming an EMT for a couple years now, but i'm a senior in high school so i want to get this sorted out right away. what does it take to become a basic emt in the state of kansas? what's your favorite thing about your job as an emt? any comments or suggestions for me? do you have to drive the ambulance too or is there somebody specific for that cuz i suck at reading maps lol. i'm also curious what title people work under in the emergency room....not the surgeons or doctors; the ones who help stabilize the patient. do i have to go to college for EMT classes, or can i just take them at a local hospital like i did for my CNA license? what's the cost? and last but not least, what was your most memorable moment working?

It always seems like my bosses boss always turns out to be a complete moron. He has no understanding of how anything works in this department, but he likes to come in and berate everyone for doing it "wrong". Am I alone or is it like this everywhere?

O.K. On one hand it's cake walk day it's 11:30and I have about 35 min worth of work to do and I don't get off until 3:30. I will get paid for just sitting here and doing nothing.
On the other hand I'm board out of my mind. And don't want to be here doing nothing.
If I stay at work I'll probably play on the net like I've been doing all morning (already asked co-workers if they had work for me to do, for the over achievers. LOL no extra work to be had)
If I go home I'll probably clean up my apt a little bit maybe call my dad and see what he's up to.
Oh and I have a crap load on Vaca time and PTO and my boss is not here today.
SHOULD I TOUGH IT OUT OR GO HOME AND RELAX?

The objective needs to say something of the sort:
To remain in the trade industry while working for a replicable company
What would you change to make it sound better?

I recently accepted a new job. While interviewing for the job, I did not mention an upcoming vacation. When The Human Resources Dept offered me the job I tried telling them about my planned vacation before accepting. She said talk to my new boss about it. I accepted because if there is a conflict with my trip (that I have spent $700 on all ready), I will postpone it. I am wondering how I should or should have handled the situation.
