How would I find a job in Japan, and where would I live while looking for employment?

If I move to Japan, where would I stay while looking for a job? Or would I apply for a job from the US? Thanks.

Your best bet would be to apply for a job with an international company in the United States. They might or might not be willing to compenstate you for part of your moving expenses.

Once in Japan you would have the option of renting a room at a hotel or possibly a boarding house or an apartment.
