O.K. On one hand it's cake walk day it's 11:30and I have about 35 min worth of work to do and I don't get off until 3:30. I will get paid for just sitting here and doing nothing.
On the other hand I'm board out of my mind. And don't want to be here doing nothing.
If I stay at work I'll probably play on the net like I've been doing all morning (already asked co-workers if they had work for me to do, for the over achievers. LOL no extra work to be had)
If I go home I'll probably clean up my apt a little bit maybe call my dad and see what he's up to.
Oh and I have a crap load on Vaca time and PTO and my boss is not here today.
SHOULD I TOUGH IT OUT OR GO HOME AND RELAX?

Just wanted to add after receiving some responses that 1:I do not take calls for my boss. I take my own calls so I am not interfering with his work and I would get in trouble for reading at my desk. There are no long term projects to work on no tutorials. And Like I said I would only leave AFTER ALL MY ½ hours worth of work was done. (by the way it’s done now) so no one would be responsible for my work. Have a nice day guys I’m going home, kitty-kat I’ll e-mail you tomorrow and tell you about all the fun “We” had. LOL

You may want to stay if your boss is out of the office. He is counting on you to cover his calls, etc. If you're really that bored (and yes I run across the same situation myself) you can buy a paperback book at lunch and read it when no one's around.

You may also want to consider any long term, tedious projects you are possibly procrastinating on. Maybe brush up on a software program you use a lot by going through the tutorial.

Sounds to me like you should spend your time off looking for another job! If things are so slow that nobody has anything to do you boss, if he is any kind of manager at all will get rid of some of you. He will probably keep the "Over achievers" as you call them because they are the ones making the company money.

It's too pretty out to be cooped up inside. Take the day off.
