Been looking for a job as a dental assistant for over a year in ks, moved from MO. Been on several job interviews.. Is this a job that is not demanding?? OR does a gap in resume look bad?? I have a 7 month old so I haven't worked for a while. Losing my mind.. help me!!!!!

I went to dental school too...There are a lot of job opprotunities in this field. Don't give up...You can try searching on the internet for jobs also. Good Luck.

Make sure that you put in your cover letter that you took time off to be a full-time parent to your child for the time in the gap.

Some employers also are prejudiced against new parents. Awful, but true. They think you'll either miss your child so much that you'll quit, or that you'll be constantly leaving for child-related emergencies.

You may want to try a dental temp agency. They will actually place dental assistants for either short or long term assignments, which can lead into a permanent job. It lets the clinic "try before they buy" and gives them a chance to get a good employee that they know they can work with.

do you have any training or experience in the field? doesn't sound like it. look into local community colleges, they often have programs
