Hey, um i do real well in high scool and i was thinking about majoring in finance in college. However the other day i heard my teacher talking to another friend of mine who does just as well as me and the teacher said to not concentrate on business because its to "easy" and to put your smarts to something else that you like. I was a little skeptical, but i was just wondering wether or not this was a common idea with other people? Thanks for the advice if you can.

I am working for franchize first food shop. I am from Thai. I am working as shift runner. When I order something to teens they don't follow my order. I am good at any area than them. The only thing I am not good is "Speaking English". I am 25 years old. other worker in workplace is teens. I am in charge and want to do this position.

I don't know why they do not respect me. I always help them and teach them how to work. They understand what I am thinking and what I want them to do.

Please tell me how I sort it out and how can I get a good speaking English skill with short term.

I have come upon a turning point in my life. I'm in my mid 30's and due to circumstances because my career, relationship, loss of my place of ten years in SF, bad finances....moved to be with my folks in a small town of Augusta GA to rethink what my next move should be. I've realized I've made some mistakes that have put me in this situation and try to focus on the positive, but with few job options in my field out here, and the discission to move back to get the job i want seems so far away at times, I've become depressed and find it hard to focus.....even a resume' seems hard, and the more I'm out here...the worse it gets.....finding a clear objective is important i know, but sometimes I feel my options are low...
what should my next move be......keep my contacts, explore new options, find other ways my talents could be used? Confused....

You know what it feels like. Checking e-mails and voice mails every hour, calling freinds and brothers to talk, praying, none of which helps to calm me down. All I think about is: how come they are not getting me back? Tell me how do you spend time while waiting for the job offer.

I am at a job were I know it is time for me to move on. I can never do anything right when it comes to my managers and what they ask me to do. I am actively looking for a new job. I don't want to quit before I have a new job. I want to be considerate and give them two weeks before I move on to another job.

Now I was wondering how do you or how have you stayed calm and happy at a job you hate while you are looking for a new job? Any advice to someone that cannot stand there manager anymore?
