Just tell them you are fat.

Since you will be leaving your job in 3-4 months anyway, stick with it. Even though it is illegal to discriminate against pregnancy, employers do.They think not only will she be out for maternity leave but then theres the sick child so she can't come to work thing. I know its hard to stay at a job you want to leave but the end is insight. You also don't need the added stress a new job would bring right now. Just look forward to the baby and taking some time off. It is not unusual to change jobs when you have a baby so that's a good way to start a new one.

You don't have to disclose this, and nothing states that (by law) you need to disclose it. Most people would, just to be straightforward with your prospect employer, but in all honesty, in spite of all the labor and equality laws out there, discrimination still exists. You can do two things: Not tell them, and risk them feeling lied to (and this can possibly backfire on you) or tell them and risk not getting hired under the premise of "not what we're looking for" when in reality they may just try to be avoiding paying for maternity leave (and there is little you can do to prove it). Either way it's a catch 22. BY LAW, however, if they hire you and you then disclose to them that you are pregnant, they cannot fire you based on that alone; They may however try to "build" a case against you regarding performance, etc. Not every employer is the same and I'm not trying to scare you. Unfortunately, this is reality.

You don't have to tell them, and they can't use it in consideration of hiring you. But you will be giving birth in 4 months and probably won't qualify for FMLA, meaning you are not guaranteed your job back at the end of your maternity leave.

And insurance cannot say pregnancy is a pre existing condition, it's a federal law.

I would wait it out and look while on leave from work after the baby is born.

If you are asked you should answer truthfully.

It will not appear on your application as a question as that would be a indicator of possible discrimination by the employer.

During your interview there may be questions that arise about you needing any time off, things like that, and that is where it gets touchy.

Honesty is always the best policy.

Maybe you can get a job at a daycare in the infants room so after your leave and return you may be able to have Baby ( congratulations, I hope you have a very happy healthy pregnancy)
there at work with you instead of with someone else. You would be less liely to have problems with that type of employer in my opinion.

Hope this helps,,,

Zilla says "It was so cool to have my daughter in daycare there with her Mom, I got to pick them up and drop them off every day and I knew my kiddo was safer with her Mom so close!"

It's optional. It would be like having to admit you have AIDs or something. The only time you need to disclose that fact is for insurance purposes. It's a pre-existing condition for Health Insurance companies. If they ask why you didnt tell them about your pregnancy, just be like, "well I am X mo's pregnant, I thought it was obvious"

I think it would be the right thing to do..maybe you should hang onto your job until you go on maternity leave, while on leave look for a new job..

It is usually best to be honest with your employer. Have to build the trust. Most reputable companies will not rule you out simply because you are pregnant.

well... if you get hired.. and two weeks later let them know you'll need maternity leave in 3.5 months.. don't you think they'll look at you funny.. like [you should've said this before we hired you]

I would go ahead and tell them, otherwise it looks like you're being deceitful. It will be obvious eventually anyway.
