Why don't you work in a grocery store? Stock boy, behind the deli counter. They are always looking for help. I worked as a cashier for many years from high school through college and it's a great part time job because it's flexible. You could also work at a restaurant like Outback or Applebees. Make sure you are calling these places back to show you are interested so they don't forget you too quickly.

Since you are 18, I am going to assume you have little or no work experience. To start out, most restaurants need help most of the time. Another option is delivering papers. The hours are awful, but the money is usually pretty good. Also, check with older friends, family members. Sometimes they can be a big help.
