my mom has been a waitress for over 20 years and bus boys usually makes more, they get paid about $5-7 per hour depending on where you live, plus they get a percentage of the waitresses tips. The host gets paid about the same, but with no percentage from the waitresses. And the food runner (which is usually the waiter or waitress) only makes $2-3 per hour because they make tips.

well waiter/waitress really makes most. i worked as a hostess after high school and got $8 and hour i think. but waiters get hourly pay...less than minimum wage...b/c they make it up in tips. if u have only 2 tables in one hour and they tip u $4 a piece plus your $3 or $4 and hr u already made 12 for the hour. and most likely u get more than 2 tables especially at a busy place. but food runners do okay too not sure exactly how much
