$2900 or $29000? I'm going to guess that it's 29,000 and that you mean as an annual salary. There are 52 weeks in a year and 40 hours in a work week, so there are 2,080 (52 * 40) hours in a work year. Dividing 29000/2080 = $13.94 per hour.

well there are several factors in the matter. Take however many hours you work per month and then divide it by the 2900.00. So if work 160 hours then the math will look something like this 2900 / 160= 18.13 per hour. But remember that taxes haven't been taken out. So the question is are you grossing 2900.00 a month or bringing home 2900.00 a month.

That is usually the annual salary. I hope you mean $29,000 instead of $2900.00. $2900.00 divided by 52 would only be $55.77 a week or if full time about $1.39 an hour which is $55.77 divided by 40 for a 40 hour week.
If it is $29,000 then move the decimal places over 1 in the answers.

Gina and the others are right in the monthly aspect but there are 52 weeks in a year so, the weeks in the month vary.
To be exact, you have to calculate hours per week
40 hrs x 52 weeks = 2080 hrs/yr. then...
The total amount of pay per month based on your
2900 x 12 months = $34800/yr. then..
take the total per year paid
$ 34 800 / 2080 hrs = $ 16.73 / hr. is your true wage before taxes.
I don't think a lot of companies offer this amount per month, unless it is on Salary. If it is Salary, then your hours will vary and you will more likely be working later, with no over time pay. Be aware of this because as good as it seems now, the more hours you put in over the designated amount, your hourly wage just got even smaller.

all of us so some distance has given you a bad formula. There at the instant are not 4 40 hour weeks in a month. in simple terms seem at a calendar. This month has 4 40 hour weeks plus 2 extra 8 hour days. you could take the month-to-month earnings, multiply that by skill of 12 to get your annual, and then divide by skill of fifty two to get your weekly and 40 to get your hourly. 2900/month = 34,800 annual pay, $sixteen.seventy 3 an hour. no longer the $18+ variety all of us else gave you. 2900*12 / fifty two / 40 = $sixteen.seventy 3. think of approximately it-- maximum months have 30-31 days, no longer 28.

The whole thing in a nutshell is this . .If that's $2900 per month than the rate is $18.12 per hour . That sounds like what it may be , Thats if you work 40 per week .The rate goes down for every hour more you work per week . The rate sounds good for 40 hours but if you work 60 hour per week than the rate becomes $12.08 .So there you are . It all depends on the hours you work per week . That's what you must find out in order to know the rate . Just ask the employer .

is that a month, year, hour...I assume it's the montly salary, which would make it $18.12 an hour for a 40 hour week, $725 a week, and roughly $34800 year. All pre-tax, of course
