I have a large collection of stuff (700 cu. ft.) that's on standby, waiting to be shipped from Ohio to Alabama. Where can I leave a message for a freight company or indie trucker who can take this freight on to fill his trailer? I've left messages with forwarders and logistics companies but there are so damned many of them, and many of them only work locally or regionally.

I live in an apartment building in NY. There is one big wall of mailboxs that each tenant needs a key for. I have been here for six months and payed rent early or on time every month. 2 months ago I moved witin the building to a larger apartment. They never gave me a mail key because they told me the tennant before me didnt give it back. They promised one soon. OK, 2 month later still no key. They told me for sure last monday. So i went to the office 5 miles away to get it, they didnt have it but they said the maint. guy had it. When i got ome i find that te maint guy went into my mailbox and gave the mail inside it to my wife. As a favor, and told her to tell me to come the next day to pick up the key at the ofice. I feel violated because he messed with my mail without my permission. Do i deserve a rent reduction? Any legal consequences they should suffer? Thank You.

My husband and I want to buy a home and obviously need to start with looking at homes, figuring out what we can afford, etc. We don't know the area very well and want to use a real estate agent. What happens if we're not satisfied with the agent or for any reason (the chance he could get stationed elsewhere or a deployment comes up) decide not to buy a house, do we still pay them for their service or is it just if we actually purchase a home?

I moved in 6 years ago, the apartment was not completely fixed at that time. So as the time passed he was fixing the apartment but he didn't fix it completely, then more people came to rent on first floor of the landlord's house and the first floor wasn't fixed either so the landlord started fixing for the people there and he didn't finish fixing our apartment on second floor! The landlord didn't really do a good job to fix the first floor apartment so the people there moved out because he didn't fix there.

So the problem now is that the landlord is completely fixing the vacant first floor and he never wanted to fix our second floor apartment since then. The bathroom in our apartment isn't fixed and a lot of cold comes in through the dents of the room and its so cold now that winter coming. Same goes for the other rooms in our apartment. We did call the inspectors so they could do something but they said they didn't find anything wrong with the apartment. What can I do?

My husband and I were stationed at Fort Sam Houston during AIT (both now out of the Army) and loved it so much we want to live there, but we don't know what area(s) to look at to live. We have a four month old daughter to consider and also don't want to live so far from having fun in the city. Any suggestions?

My mortgage payment went from $1,800 a month to $2,600 a month. I tried to refinance but was not accepted because my husband's income was not secure. He is a construction worker and sometime he has work and sometime he doesn't. I tried selling my house but the market is very bad. Since I didn't have much equity on the house I was going to end up paying. I decided not to make the mortgage payments and wait for the forclosure. I want to now what is going to happend now. Will the bank take my cars and personal belongings? Please if anyone went thru this already let me know what to expect.

My Grandfather died almost 5 years ago. Since then all his assets have been changed over to my grandmother except one. It is a CD in my grandfathers name only. I went to the bank with a death certifacte, release of assets from the court, a copy of the will and my grandmother. The bank said only my sister, the executor, can transfer the account over to my grandmother but she needs proof of exectorship from the court. That was 6 months ago and the lawyer still hasn't provided one for her.

Now the situation has changed. The hospital and and my grandmother's doctor said she had to move to assisted living for Alsheimer's. 24 hour supervision with assisted living. She is 93 and has falling a few times already. I have POA and have paid out most of what she had in her main account, the nursing home is private pay, and I need to start transferring in some assets. I would like to start with that CD. Anyone know how I can do this? It is for her, not for me.

I work at Taco Bell. I was hired in the summer shortly after school ended. I planned on only staying for the summer, then quitting when school and football started. But for some reason, I did not quit and stayed. I still work there. Even though football is over, the job is cutting into my social and school sections of life. I don't work during the week (too much homework, I tried it out before), so I'm usually scheduled for my whole weekend. By the time I get off, it's too late to do anything. This cuts into hanging out with my friends, and doing other things outside of school. I can't tell you how many great football games I've missed because I had to work.

I got a job mainly to pay off my car insurance (they pay for gas because they use it a lot).

I already paid off a year's worth of insurance, so the rest is income just for me. So after I make a little more money, I kinda want to quit.

But my MAIN ISSUE is, can I be re-hired if I quit???

I've been working for over a year as a temp. The manager won't hire me because he feel since I don't have a college degree and kids. I'm not good enough for the company. So now they want me replace in one week notice. Everyone else in the company didn't understand why the change. It's not only confusing, its discriminating. What should I do?

I really like the career outlook of an Anesthesiologist, and am wondering do they work for a hospital or a private firm type thing. If anyone has some insight on this subject please let me know. Also if anyone has any idea on how easy it might be to get a job as an anesthesiologist, if firms or such are always recruting.

My girlfriend had applied online for macy's job and they emailed her telling her to come to an interview.however they didnt say she had to dress professionally.when she got there they didnt let her go to the interview because she had on jeans. The managers or anybody didnt see her,the security guard at the door told her about the dress code.
She is real mad now and I told her she might be able to re-apply online.
Can she reply online or will they disregard her as soon as they seen her application again? Is there any chance that she can get another interview if she re apply.
What should she do
if she does re apply how long should she wait or how many days to re apply?

ok here goes, i purchased a car from a dealership and was financed through them, they told me they tried other companies and i was denied ,or the intrest was much higher due to not only my credit but the unpaid debts i have. i had previously paid off a car loan and the bankrupsy on my credit will be removed soon, my intrest rate is 23% and i have not been able to refinance due to debts on my credit. Problem is If i continue to pay such a high premium am unable to clean up my credit. doesn't seem to fair. I am trying to clean up my credit, but at the same time I have found noone that will refinance me so i could, it's like I can't afford the car payment now, so we won't refinance until the credit is better. catch 22 i guess any ideas. payments are always on time. i can't afford to keep the car, but can't afford to sell and still owe.????

I've seen it advertised in AM New York's classified ads. I have experience in proofreading and copyediting and the ad said that they do training and placement for their proofreaders. However, I always have to call a answering service and wait for someone from columbia proofreaders to call me back. And when they do, they give me a phone number to call and rush my off the phone. I can't ask any questions. I call the given phone number the next day and get someone else on the phone, they are just as rude. Has anyone had experience with columbia proofreaders this way? or is this another classifieds scam that uses a legitamite business name to lure people in. Is columbia proofreaders free?
