I haven't heard from Rita Mosley yet but I have won the UK lottery about 20 times already. Unfortunately, there are a lot of gullible people out there who will believe these scams.

Who falls for scams? Almost anyone can if the facts and circumstances are right. A Canadian scam sends me a check for $3,850.00 American. I take it to my bank who checks out the Canadian bank on which it is written. They find the company's bank account is huge. I called the Attorney General's office in our state who tell me how the scam works. If I cash the check it passes through my account whose number will be transposed onto the check which is now in the hands of the scammer. The scammer will then proceed to withdraw monies from my account. If the balance is less than the $3,850., the scammer may lose money. However there are hundreds of accounts where larger balances exist which have higher balances so, overall, the scammer makes much money.

You'd be surprised. Lots of people get caught up in the "fast and easy" con game. I've read of countless people sending in large sums of cash hoping to get that big windfall.
Heck, you can find quite a few on Answers that wonder if that suprise check they got in the mail is real.
International lotteries, check and money order scams, bogus inheritance....it's just a load of garbage!
It's sad really, that people are in such desperation that they'll believe this kind of wealth will just fall in their lap.

all that stuff goes to my bulk mailbox. i don't even look at it. i delete it as soon as i see it. i have a friend who's husband actually did fall for one of those scams though. she wound up having to file bankruptcy and he almost got felony charges pressed against him. he's lucky she didn't divorce him. what an idiot.
