No! Our culture is not shaped by commercials I believe that commercials are shaped by our culture and shaped to the market to which they cater. Notice car commercials from local dealers. Cheaper products commercials are not as sophisticated as those advertising a more expensive product.The same holds true for jewelry. Those advertising diamonds are more elaborate than ads selling costume jewelry.
