We started living at our new townhome (rental) on the 20th and there are cockroaches. We just moved in 2 nights ago and last night we saw 3 different ones run and scurry across the floor. The realtor had promised they had sprayed for bugs after the last tenants moved out but the townhome had been vacant for 3 months. My son is SO scared because they are around 2 or 3 inches long and they are FAST. Remax are the property managers and seeing as we JUST started living here we don't know what they'll do. What are the state laws in VA for cockroaches? Has anyone personally worked with a Remax realtor and had the same problem? Will they put us up in a hotel until they take care of the problem? I REFUSE to live with bugs seeing as my 3 year old is petrified. Any information would be great, thank you.

So a few months back I helped my mother at her corporation (She creates and finalizes copy names with the government) and I went through all their previous files (Boxes and boxes of paper files) And added missing ones, filed them in complete order, fixed ones that were out of place and so forth.. I'm doing my resume right now and im not exactly sure what I would call that position and I am unable to contact my mother at the moment to ask her. Do you have any ideas?

Our house has been on the market for a month now, which is not long, but as we are moving to Japan at the beggining of January, I am starting to panick...so, how can I make my house more "saleable", nothing that requires a complete transformation, but little things or tips? Or, has anyone used those services that buy houses very quickly but with a lesser rice value of the house? or is not worth it? Thanks!

Hi,

Does anyone know if, a property developer has a legal responbility to let a buyer know if he himself has bought a property next door with the intention to let it out? i purchased a house in a new development 10 months ago and I had to go 30k over the asking price can I ask for the details of legitimate biders to see if I have been scamed? And I have be unable to live at the property from completion because the developer sold the house next door to himself as an investment and then let it out for cash, and the tennant is causing trouble and harrasing me, opening my mail and causing slander as well as claiming benefits in the address, the developer will not handle my complaints or warn the tennant. Friends of the tennant have stolen my pocessions and nothing is safe outside my home is there any legal action I can take? Also my son had a fall out the back of his property off a trampoline which wasn't secure or closed off and had to be hospitalised do I have a claim?

My husband and I are looking into buying a home. The realtor selling the home is charging a fairly expensive “processing fee”. Has anyone else ever come across this fee? Is it common for buyers to pay this?

Index funds cannot go to zero ? Am I right ? e.g. take the S&P 500 ETF index for SPY.

There are 500 stocks in SPY. Should one stock declares bankruptcy or gets de-listed, it is removed from the index fund SPY and a new stock will be added.

So I think even in a bearish market, the price value of SPY or any index funds including Dow Jones, Hengseng, Nekki, etc will never have a price value of zero.

Should any stock(s) in anyone of these index funds goes belly up, the stock(s) just gets removed or de-listed from the index and a new stock will be added.

Am I right ? Or am I missing anything ?

Even if we have the worst case scenario similar or more devastating than the 1929 market crash, the price of any Index Funds cannot go
to zero value.

Please comment and give me your insight.

Thanks in advance

I continue to receive this product and would like to know how I go about reporting this company and getting my money back. I have emailed them and later found out they are a phony company. I am going to be working for a company but they want me to be on a self employed basis. I will have to travel 25 miles per day, in total, to and from the office-am I right in thinking that I will be able to claim 40p per mile on my tax return? I will only be working part time (15 hours a week -3 hours a day) I will be paid £9 per hour..so by my calculations I will need to deduct £50 a week for travel expenses - leaving me with £85 profit. Is this right as it seems that I will probably have no tax to pay as I'm allowed more than this amounts to on my tax code?

Question 1. If some amount of dividends were in arrears on preferred stock, how does that affect the balance reported for retained earnings? Do you deducted that amount or add from the retained earnings??

Question 2 On January 1, 2007, Kern Corporation had $1,560,900 of common stock outstanding that was issued at par and retained earnings of $732,400. The company issued 58,790 shares of common stock at par on July 1 and earned net income of $367,700 for the year.

Journalize the declaration of a 10% stock dividend on December 10, 2007, for the following two independent assumptions.

Par value is $10 and market value is $11.
For the journal entries . I got Retained Earnings Debit=$64669, Common Stock Dividends Distributable Credit=$58790,Paid-in Capital in Excess of Par Value Credit=$5879.

Did i do that right plz help!!

Hey there!

I'm in the UK.

The police have forced a door open in a property I manage, at the request of a neighbour thinking the tenant was dead.

Turns out he's not, and he was just away.

Who is now liable for the cost of repairs? Neighbour, Police, Managing Agent, Tenant or Landlord??
