I've seen it on TV, all you have to do is go shopping and analyze everything in the store and then fill out a survey type thing. Can I do this? I'm 14.

A friend and I started a free ezine. A person is willing to pay us to advertise her book in our ezine. Do we have to legally pay income taxes on this? We were thinking about asking around $16 a year, because that is the price of the book. Penny for your thoughts!

I got a $350k home equity loan 6 months ago, and the business I was hoping to start making profit turned out otherwise... To make things worse, as it turned out my house had no equity and the loan was issued to me erroneously. Now that I have no money and no equity, what are the consequences? What should I do to lose the least and come out of the situation as soon as possible and with least damages?

I am 19 years old and am a college student. My dad has Aetna (health insurance) through his work at ConocoPhillips and due to a recent ridiculous argument, they are threatening to take me off their health insurance if I don't do what they want. I was informed that they couldn't do that unless my dad wanted to take my mom off the health insurance also. My informant said it was a 'family package' or something.... I need that health insurance, i'm hypo-glycemic and my immune system sucks, so i'm always at the doctor and I have a ton of prescriptions to take. Can they actually take me off or are they just making empty threats?

The house my mother owns has an apartment above it, and she is renting to myself and my boyfriend. Since we had a spare room, we figured we'd let his friend who was in a tough situation move in to get back on his feet, he is not on the lease, he has not paid rent, and he does not have a job. Everything has fallen apart, is it legally okay for us to just tell him to leave, he has other places he can stay, and we refuse to put up with him any longer.

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, I'd rather do everything properly and this being the first apartment I've ever rented and it being rented from my mom, I'd rather ask then do something wrong.

I am in a travel trailer and laptop it plenty. My bank is offering me a free Dell Inspiron 531s computer. Only catch is a deposit remains for a year (yes I get interest on that too) I offered it to my girlfiend but having a real tough time getting her to accept it. She has no computer, but sons 5&9. I'm sure the computer would be usefull to her boys as well. HELP! If she doesn't take it it's like I'm throwing $400 away. I suppose my alternative is to donate it to the library or one of the schools. But they like their own models. Help me convince her. She'll see the answers on the computer she accesses from someone else's house. See what devious things I do to convince you Honey?

I heard the force of the canadian Dollars had increase. Can $ > US $ (Please correct me if I'm wrong)

In the news, many people say the increasement of the Canadian Dollars represent many disadvantages.
Today, most of the people go to shopping in the USA.

So, when the Canadian Dollar is higher than the US Dollar, why it's a disadvantage?

Where are the advantages?

Is it ideal to go to shopping in Canada now?
Is it good idea to exchange canadian money to american money?

I gave my employer a 2 week notice because I was offered a better paying job. The next day my employer contacted me and told me that I "did not have to return" to work because I had accepted a job with a competitor. Even though that job was not due to begin for another 3 weeks. Am I owed that last 2 weeks of pay? Should I file for unemployment benefits?

I was hired at $8/hour to be a part time cashier. I am a 33 year old stay at home Mom who wants a little extra money. I have my MBA and ten years management experience. I was interviewed by the store manager (who is no longer there) and was clear that I only wanted to be a cashier. Over the past few months, they have turned me into the evening cashier. I've gone from my 15-22 hour work week to an average of 30. I have managers keys, and all the responsibilties of a supervisor. I spoke with a new manager last night and he told me they informed him I was a supervisor. Noone has spoken to me about this transition.

The plan:
1. Ask for a raise to $12 an hour.
2. If they say no, I will explain that I accepted $8 as a cashier and from this point forward that is all I will do.
3. If they give me grief about that, I plan to turn in my two week notice.

Do you think I'm right? Am I doing the right thing? Any suggestions would be appreciated....

Alright. So, my dad is gettin older (he's a lil over 50) and all he's ever done in his life is construction work since he was a teenager. he loves what he does, but he can't keep it up much longer because of his health condition. he used to build houses, and did everything (poured foundation, built cabinets, painted, installed electricity, plumbing, etc.). We're trying to give him some options of things he can do that aren't gonna require so much in the physical but will still be fun and interesting to him. So, I was wondering if any of yall guys knew of something...??
