Alright. So, my dad is gettin older (he's a lil over 50) and all he's ever done in his life is construction work since he was a teenager. he loves what he does, but he can't keep it up much longer because of his health condition. he used to build houses, and did everything (poured foundation, built cabinets, painted, installed electricity, plumbing, etc.). We're trying to give him some options of things he can do that aren't gonna require so much in the physical but will still be fun and interesting to him. So, I was wondering if any of yall guys knew of something...??

There are Online jobs. Most are a Ripp Off. I have spent hundreds of dollars researching them. Usually the ones that offer "Get Rich Quick" promises are a wrong turn. There is no such thing. I have found a few sources that do create a steady income based on the amount of effort involved. I net an Average of $500 to $700 a week working 10 hours a week. I also work a full time job that involves my health care and pension or I would devote more to the online work. Below are the links that I used. Goodluck

To be honest. An excellent way for your father to generate income is through the internet. No scams here - honestly. I am selling nothing, just feeding you ideas. Why doesn't he build a website or blog around his construction work. Since he has a vast amount of experience in the field of construction (pouring foundation, cabinets, etc.) he could write about the proper way to perform this work. He could offer tips such as correct techniques, tricks, etc. He could spend just a few hours a week writing a few articles and have his site up and running in no time. No HTML or any other language coding is needed. There are a number of websites that allow you to design your site just as you see it. Again, no coding experience is necessary. A man such as your father started a website built on the same content (he was a carpenter) and his site has generated over $120,000 from online advertising (specifically via Adsense). Seriously, visit my website (I have nothing to sell - only ideas to offer) and take it from there. Regards, Jason.

P.S. Good luck to your father. And remember, the key to any good website is content.

You have to do tons of research to find an actually legit job. Most online jobs are garbage. You can google telecommuting jobs. Look for online customer service or tech support.
Arise, which is tech support [for apple I think it is?] but it is done from home.
Alpine succes if you are in Co.
Jet Blue Airline customer support, but only in some locations.

From what he's been doing all his life, I wonder if he would enjoy architecture. That way, while he isn't doing the construction and stuff, he is still taking a huge part in.

That's probably the job that pretty much is the same as a construction worker (except instead of building a design, you're designing a building).

My mother is in the same situation excepst with a different job. She wanted to find interenet jobs for a while now but they all ripped us off. We even invested in a whole ton of stuff and nothing came out of it. They just want your money. If internet jobs really would work the world would be rich and everyone would be doing it. Good luck. Im sorry, I just thought I would warn you.

Since he loves to build and knows alot about fixing stuff, he can work at Home Depot or any hardware store. They would be glad to get his experience. Or he could be a handy man and work at his own pace.

Well I think that he should just do handyman work for people. the jobs will be small and he will still bring in a lot of money. less hassle and less work.
