ok, this MAY sound like a dumb question ;)

every office says it needs data entry skills and make it seem very important and difficult.. which i doubt...

anyway, i've worked at a travel agency entering flight info on computers, i've worked at a store entering product inventory and info into the store computer. is this considered data entry? i saw on an application numeric and alpha numeric..

what does data entry usually entail?

A former employee requested a letter of recommendation for a summer internship. Normally I don't have an issue with writing a letter, but for this particular person I don't really have anything to say about them. Their work was generally adequate, they were generally reliable (perhaps late on several occasions), and they go along fine with their co-workers. However, I can't every remember the person showing much initiative or putting forth much more than the minimum required effort. Furthermore, I don't really know much about this person on a personal level.

What would I say for a person like this. I don't have any negative feelings toward this person, but they are not someone I would immediately recommend for anything.

Suppose a publishing company places an article in one of its magazines, and had the article copyrighted under the name of the corporation, rather than any individual author (article was copyrighted in 1992 in the US).

If this company became dissolved a few years later as the result of a bankrupty, are all active copyrights also dissolved? Or would the entitlement be transferred to one of the creditors as part of the liquidation process?

I want to use their article, but I can't exactly request written permission from a company that does not exist.

(And excuse my usage of business terms; they're probably incorrect ... I'm a physics student who's useless at anything related to money, the arts, pretty much anything involving creativity...)

I was let go from a job years ago and I took it very personally since my personal integrity was questioned by my boss, who, in fact, was the screw up and I was her disposable little scapegoat - anyway. It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth.

She, the director of a free clinic, didnt turn in a form to the United Way requesting annual funds for the free clinic - something that's done every year. Without that funding, the people who work there lose their jobs and all the people who cannot afford medical care would go without! And she blamed me for not telling her! Uh... make sense? Didn't think so...I handed in my resignation letter the day she told me I didn't need to come back.

Not in the case where someone needs more time in a realationship, more in the sense of someone who is really really busy and doesn't have much time to himself. This is a pretty hard one for me and I would really appreciate your input. I've already thought of getting this person a PA, except they already have one...
This is someone who is really important and really pressed for time.

Its a long story but it looks like my landlord is going to withhold my deposit. Its not worth my time to go to small claims court over it. She has tennants moving in the day im supposed to move out. What if I just refuse to leave until i get my money? What recourse does she have?

Is there any other alternative?

It used to be that if you earned under $600, an employer did not need to file a W-2. Is there still an amount like that? If so, what is the current amount, and what IRS document would contain that information

I am trying to do an IVF in January-
our insurance states that the Deductable is 2,200 and they pay 90% - after satisfying the out of pocket cost at 3,000 it is covered at 100%

it goes on to explain "out of pocket maximum - includes expenses applied to the deductable PLUS your co-insurance maximum"...

to me this sounds like the total out of pocket cost I can pay is 2,200 for the deductable and an addition 800 would satisify the out of pocket cost and they should start paying at 100%...
but when i asked my benefits dept they said it how it works is i would pay 2,200 for the deductable and an addition 3,000 would satisify my out of pocket cost ...

does this sound right?
