How many points does your score go down when someone inquire? How long does it take for the points to return back to your score?

Each credit bureau has its own formula for penalizing someone when there are inquiries on their report. Unfortunately it's proprietary information and they won't tell the general populace if it's a set number of points or a certain percentage of the score.
I do know that the inquiries stay on the report for two years and the "ding" won't cost you as many points as a charge-off or late payment would.

No not ten points I had 5 this year and never went down ten points for one inquire . 1 or 2 at most .

I've always heard that costs you 10 points. And it will start to go back up a few months later. But the inquiry doesn't fall off your report for 2 years.

5 factors, you get 5 factors for each bill paid on time in line with month, so i cheated the gadget with 4 playing cards. getting 20 in line with month. after 2 years I surely have a 748 and that i'm sparkling with credit purely having it for 3 years. my best card is 17k reduce, its really basic
