I am just venting but I called other companies and they all say the same thing. In 2005 my policy was for $60,000.00 dwelling and today I recieved the policy and it called for over $109,000.00 coverage? I wrote my Senator and filed a complaint with the state's insurance division. Seems like a ripoff to me. I have NEVER had a claim and don't intend to. To me it is just the idea that they can double my house value in two years time........

"If your grandparents are still alive then buy at least $100,000.00 in life insurance for each one of them and at least $300,000.00 in life insurance for each of your parents and you will have $1,000,000.00 USD by the time they are all dead."

I realize...this is pretty crazy to say...I read this somewhere and I want to know if you can take a policy out without consulting the related party of the insurance? Say a parent/grandparent? I would like to be able to pay for all the funeral precedings etc. and help my family in the aftermath. Especially concerning my grandparent's. I don't believe that my family is or has thought ahead about this....anyone have any advice...OR knowledge that could help me?

This is for usa

I am 20, my husband is 22, we have no kids yet. We currently rent an apartment, plan on having a baby in a year or two and buying a house in the next 5-6 years.

We want a life insurance that is not to high monthly and will really help one another out if one of us were to die, becuase we dont really have family that would step in and take care of things, im thinking 100,000

Say I have a dependent on my health insurance. She had several doctor appointments that were paid (minus a copay) by this insurance. But she was living with a relative for more than 9 months of the year and they want to claim her on taxes. Will my insurance company deem her no longer a dependent because of this and require me to repay them for those appointments during that year?

what happens to the mortgage value and the house? My aunt died 2 weeks ago, and we found a PMI policy, but until tonight, we were confusing that with MLI, mortgage life insurance (in this case, the mortgage would be paid off). Does the mortgage value increase back to the sale price of the house since the borrower, my aunt, will default from now on? Thanks.

A friend was telling me that if you are buying a home and have homeowners insurance and you have maintenance problems (roof needs repairing or replacing, water heater goes out, etc) that the insurance will pay for this. He also said that if you needed smaller repairs (plumbing, etc) that would be the homeowners responsibility. I thought anything that went wrong with the home , if you were buying, would be your responsibility.

thank you,
sherry

When this was explained to my brother and stepfather at my mother's employer my step father told my brother that he would give him the money once he received it. GUESS WHAT... Last week my step father recieved the check then told my brother that he will not be giving it to him. A ****** gave him some bs reason why. Can my brother fight this in any way w/ the insurance company or the ******? Any ideas?

I was in an accident and the lady didn't have insurance. I had uninsured motorist insurance. I found out from my insurance agent uninsured pays for pain and suffering and lost wages etc... My medical bills were around $3,000. They offered me a settlement of $2,700. I was told I should get three times my medicial bills and lost wages. Is this right?

A friend of mine recently became unemployed. His company offered him severance pay. But, in order to receive severance, he had to sign paperwork agreeing not to sue the company. He was supposed to receive 64,0000. But, his employer took 25,000 in taxes. This leaves him with very little money until he can find another job. Can he still collect unemployment in additon to severance pay?
