We received the letter today that it was cancelled as of Nov 1st (they hadn't paid Nov or Dec). He hasn't asked them about it yet so we're looking into our options.PLUS I thought I heard we only had 60 days if preexisting conditions. Are THEY still liable since they offer medical insurance?

My 5 year old son broke his arm, just above the elbow while jumping off a "log" playset at McDonalds. We filed a report at the restaurant, and left.
Insurance through my job is covering 80% of some, and 50% of other fees, and I owe a $1,000 deductible.
I am NOT one of those parents trying to make a buck out of this, but I am not sure if I should do anything about McD's especially since I would hate to think another kid might get injured there.

Oh the other side, (financial) my son needs surgery, and I don't know what, if anything I should do (I am not rich, so I'll have to charge it all on Ccard).
I looked up on the web and found nothing informational as to what steps I needed to take in a situation like this.
Like I said, I filed a report with them, at the restaurant and that was it.
But I wonder how anyone can make MacD's at least verify to what extent they can be responsible, or how their insurance can help the situation at least to a degree
ANY SUGGESTIONS???

We are shopping around for home owners & car insurance. Travelers is coming in cheaper & with more coverage than other places. I have not heard of them before (which doesn't mean anything) but Wiki has a lot of good things to say about their company. Curious on personal experiences & recommendations!

My policy lists lesser of actual or stated value. I have full coverage, can anyone tell me what will this actually cover.
This is listed under comprehensive and collision. Does this coverage include any loss to the car?
I went to the insurance agency yesterday, and the idiot agent couldn't answer any of my questions/concerns. Instead she gave me a number to call, the same number which I already had. I've tried calling them, and they keep transferring me back and forth to different departments.
My question is, if my car is Totaled/stolen/flooded which happens a lot in my area. With the information listed on my policy will I get the amount actually listed. I need to be sure I have sufficient coverage. Thanks in advance for your advice.

I was living in my first home, built in 1922, and of course I had Allstate's homeowners insurance. Now that I've moved to another house, I'm renting my previous home and I get a letter from Allstate saying they're dropping my "Landlord package coverage" on the old house because "the age of my rental property makes it ineligible for the Replacement Cost policy."

Nothing I can do there if they choose not to cover it, but isn't there multiple companies out there who would like my business, even though I now rent out my older home, instead of it being my primary residence?

This is kind of upsetting because now I need to find another company for that property, or maybe I'll switch from Allstate all together!!

Any advice/suggestions/options???

Thanks

First of all I think we can all agree that our "for profit" system we have now, must and will be replaced. Now, how about this?
1. All workers will pay in let's say 2% of our paychecks(automatically deducted) each week.
2. Our employers match this with another 2% .
3. The Federal government pays in another 2%
Total 6% each week that will go into a separate group health insurance fund. Separate from the federal budget; separate account all together.

That way we all pay the same PERCENTAGE each week regardless of income. We all know nothing is free, but this way the workers, business and government would in pay equally. Of course the rich would pay more (their fair share) and the poor would pay less (there fair share). To cover all of our health care and prescription drug coverage. And since we all contribute into it, it could not be called socialism or free health care.

We could call it something like the American Triad Health Insurance Plan.
