Is there a way to have health coverage for your parents (or inlaws) on your policy? We're a couple in our late 20s with a dependent also. Thanks for your insight!

Our family is shopping for life insurance. My husband smokes 1-2 cigarettes a day and wants to quit, thus he thinks this "light" smoking should not be mentioned to the insurance company to keep premiums low. I am, however, concerned that in the future a claim may be denied if the company finds out, so it is better to pay up and be safe. Has anybody had issues like that? How can I convince him?

My employer is looking into changing the group health insurance coverage in February. I am due with my child in May. What does this mean for me? Do I loose coverage if they choose an insurance plan that has an OUTRAGOUS maternity cost? What happens if the cost doubles or triples? I don't qualify for medicaid (income restrictions) and can't afford much more than what I'm currently paying for health insurance. How do these things normally work?

it is a week later and now she tells me about it. In my employee handbook I have in large BOLD font that any accident not reported the same day we will not be held liable. We have to do drug screening before any medical care is given (unless life threatening) . What should I do? I sent her to see a physican in our WC network. Was that okay or is that bad? Do I have to file a claim? Thanks for your help.

My provider for some reason - I really dont know why signed her insurance reimbursements over to me since I had already paid her in cash, instead of depositing the checks and just writing me one of her own. This left me with several hundred dollars in third party checks which my bank wouldn't deposit for me. So I called the insurance company who said, sure send the endorsed checks back to us and we will reissue them directly to you. But instead, they issued them to the policy holder, my ex husband, who wasn't even involved in the payment of this bill in any way, but likes the idea of getting "free money" and has no intention of turning the reimbursement over to me. Does the insurance company bear any legal liability since they assured me that if I sent them my endorsed checks, they would reissue them to ME (never mentioning my ex husband)?. This is hundreds of dollars and the insurance company is giving me the old- we only issue checks to the insured line- what can I do?

My dad died nearly 3 weeks ago, and his former company (a huge one) shows that he had no optional life insurance. Our records differ. Nobody can or will give us answers, and my brother is already ready to sue. Where do we stand? Thanks

Furthermore, will any companies actually do this?

My Mom was asking me about this but I don't know anything about it so maybe you can help me. She was asking me about my brother who is stuck with a bunch of bills for a necessary operation he had on his leg. The hospital billed the insurance but they only payed part of some of the bills. What she was saying was that the hospitals were supposed to accept what the insurance payed and not expect the client to pay the balance. That doesn't sound right to me but I don't know anything about medical billing. Does anyone have any knowledge of this? Thanks for your help.

If tree limb falls into private yard from commercial property tree, and does damage a building. Who pays for damage, and who pays for tree removal? If no bldg damage, who pays for tree removal? If limb (or tree) falls into my yard from my neighbors and damages my property, who pays for damage and who pays for tree removal. If neighbor's tree falls into my yard, but does no damage to my property (just makes a mess), who pays for tree removal? Concensus of some of my co-workers is that the owner of the tree isn't liable for anything, nor is his insurance company. We are in NJ, and I know State Laws vary, but this last bit of thinking doesn't seem logical. Ok you CPCU's, ARM's, and CIC's put on your thinking caps. Thanks.
