Yes, ask them. Otherwise, it's private information.

It won't do you any good, anyway. If you want to report a hazardous condition - they're not going to talk to you. If you want to file a claim, they're STILL not going to talk to you. If you want to ask about coverage, yep, you guessed it, they're not going to talk about it with you.

If you want to sue the homeowner for something, you'll have to file suit and serve them, if they don't want to report the claim.

You call the homeowner and ask them who their insurance is with. The good news is this means strangers can't go finding out who you have insurance with behind your back.

Not unless you ASK them. There is no common record data base that keeps up with that info.
