Which Insurance company has been allegedly defrauded by Mr and/or Mrs Darwin, the chap who recently turned up after a canoe accident some 5 years plus ago?

I work for a supplier for several major UK Insurers and often curious as to why they also avoid publicity when they are victims of fraudulent acting customers, banks are the same... Good on the Insurers in this instance and wish them well in their recovery attempt!

My building suffered damage with a hail storm. The insurance company sent me a check made out to the mortgage company and to me. Now the Mortgage company is holding the funds and I can't finish the repairs needed. My mortgage payments are up to date.

I know I am eligible financially for Healthy NY insurance, but I am not sure how to apply.

The website says I need to apply through the individual insurance company, but there's no real information on how to pick the correct insurance company to work through.

Does anyone have any advice?

So, I am studying for my Property and Liability Insurance Principles Exam (INS 21). I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some good help online with studying. I have Adult ADD, so I'm getting real frustrated with the fact that despite the medication I'm having a hard time because it is NOT hands on. If I was just applying it to my job on a daily basis I would get it the first time I used it, but because it's from a book it's like I have to study the same subtopic of a chapter for 6 hours before I ever understand it.

I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some good help online with studying for this particular exam...sample questions or an outline of the book...anything.

My brother-in-law had the gastric bipass surgery instead of the 3 days planned, they had 'complications'. The doctors did all that they could do. And still are a year and a half later. The hospital where it was done is 240 miles away.
They own a small business that is failing fast with men depending on their jobs.
They have health insurance and insurance does pick up a huge amount but the remainder is astronomical.
I know they are not any more special than anyone else.. but with many prescriptions being between $400 -$900 for a couple day supply.
It's not humanly possible? Help? Where do we start for help?
Their business & family farm is their pride and accomplishment of everything they've worked for all of their lives. They did everything right. They were covered when they went in.
Is there anyone that will help?

My father took care of my health insurance throughout my entire childhood, up til I was 20 when he canceled my health insurance, without telling anyone. I did not find out for 10 months. Is that illegal on his part or should the insurance company have contacted me to let me know?

I have PPO and I went to the dr and was told my insurance covered it so all I had to pay was $15 copay. Then, I just got a bill in the mail. My insurance didn't change or anything and they told me they found me in the system when I was there.

Can they get away with charging me the remaining balance of $190 eventhough they gave me their word that it was covered?

I am his wife and was advice my our financial planner to have a one million dollar policy so that I could pay off the mortgage (~350K) as well as car payments and the like. This does not seem excessive to me, but my husband is now furious. I have been married to him for nine years and he brought it up tonight for no reason.
My father, who also was a physician, died last month and left me three million dollars in a trust fund. So I have my own money, plus I have my own 401 K (95 K) and my own brokeragge account (120K).
Is my husband wrong to be so upset about a silly one million dollar life insurance policy????????
Thanks-

Hi,
I have a question on health insurance claim.
My employer provided me and my family the Pacificare PPO plan.
This plan was valid up to 03/31/2007.
Starting 04/01/2007, my employer terminated the plan with Pacificare PPO and moved to Aetna PPO.

On 03/20, my 3-year-old son had a regular checkup with the pediatrician.
The pediatrician charged about 220$ and we made the copay of $20.

The pediatrician's office sent the bill to Pacificare after 04/01/2007 and Pacificare rejected the claim made stating that we were no longer with them.

Right about a week ago, I got the bill from the doctor's office asking me to pay $200.

When my son went for the checkup, we had Pacificare. When the doctor's office sent the bill to Pacificare, we were no longer with it.

It's not our fault as it was my employer who opted out of Pacificare.

Please advise me as I made the payment of $200 to the doctor's office this morning.

My parents own a condo which they rent out. The unit above them had their pipes burst, resulting in water damage to my parents unit. We have insurance, and we've gone through our insurance company, but the person above does not.

How does this work? I want to claim the damage, but the person above just had a stroke and I don't want him paying for it if he doesn't have to. How will the insurance company deal with this?

I've just become eligible for insurance where I work. Today I found out that I will have to take a nicotine swab test and if it comes back positive my rates will be higher.
I DO NOT use tobacco. However, I live in a household in which someone smokes pretty heavily. I've been told that I will probably not pass the nicotine test because of this. I understand that second hand smoke is unhealthy for me, so I don't need a lecture. I'm very anti-smoking, but unfortunately, I'm stuck in my situation for now. I think it's absolutely horrible that an insurance company can penalize me for a behavior practiced by someone else. Is there anything I can do about this?
