Mr Darwin (Canoe Man) - Insurance fraud?

Question

Which Insurance company has been allegedly defrauded by Mr and/or Mrs Darwin, the chap who recently turned up after a canoe accident some 5 years plus ago?

I work for a supplier for several major UK Insurers and often curious as to why they also avoid publicity when they are victims of fraudulent acting customers, banks are the same... Good on the Insurers in this instance and wish them well in their recovery attempt!

Two reasons to avoid publicity :-

1) No one likes Insurance Co. so a lot of people will sympathise with the fraudsters...

2) When people see how easy it is, they might try it on too ...
