Yes, you have to pay it in full. You can not pay half. If you pay anything less than the full amount, you will be cancelled. I don't know what happens everywhere, or where you are, but in New York state, that means that the DMV is notified right away and if you get pulled over, you will either face a HUGE ticket or be arrested and your car impounded. (Depends on what you get pulled over for.)

It will be VERY difficult (and VERY expensive) to get new insurance - or even to get this policy reinstated. You'll be a huge risk for the nonpayment.

that all depends. your description is too vague. you do get grace days, but i don't know how far behind you are. is $300 the rest of the premium for the year or is it the min. due? yiou should call the company, bc if your policy does cancel for non payment that will create a lapse in coverage and that will raise your next premium. or if it cancels you may or may not be eligible for reinstatement. that depends on a number of things: if its the first time its cancelled for nonpayment, your driving history and your father's. The rules also vary by state and some companies are a little different. I woud advise that you callyou company they can tell you exactly what to expect. I'm an insurance agent.

You might be able to pay half, you will not know for sure until you go to the insurance office. You will not have very long to come up with the other half. I pay my car insurance twice a year. They always have an option of paying half, with a small fee. It has been years since I have used it, but I have in the past. Car insurance is very important. You need to lear how to prioritize and budget your money.

OK, it's not due - it's overdue, if you're talking about cancellation. Paying a small amount will likely result in your policy being cancelled. Talk to your agent, though.

It won't be harder for you to get insurance, you'll just have to pay more.

Its always best to pay on time. However, if you are late they won't cancel you right away. You are after all a customer. Once you place your payment in the mail you are considered paid, as your intent was to be covered. This will buy a few days.

You don't indicate if the $100 is a monthly or quarterly payment. If it not monthly, pay monthly.

Did this bill suprise you? Did they suddenly change your due date on you?

Not sure what to tell you. Yes, you have to pay it all. No, you do not want to get cancelled or it will be a hassle.

You will have to convince your dad to loan you the full amount. Then you need to start BUDGETING your money.
