My girlfriend had applied online for macy's job and they emailed her telling her to come to an interview.however they didnt say she had to dress professionally.when she got there they didnt let her go to the interview because she had on jeans. The managers or anybody didnt see her,the security guard at the door told her about the dress code.
She is real mad now and I told her she might be able to re-apply online.
Can she reply online or will they disregard her as soon as they seen her application again? Is there any chance that she can get another interview if she re apply.
What should she do
if she does re apply how long should she wait or how many days to re apply?

She can reapply, however, I would instead call the HR department, and tell them she already applied, and honestly tell them that she came unprepared for the interview, attired inappropriately, and would like another appointment for interview.

For future use though, any job that you would want to be hired for you, you should attend the interview in at least what you would be expected to be wear to work, if not nicer. I doubt she would be able to work at Macys wearing jeans, so she shouldn't go to the interview in jeans, ya know what i mean?

She should reapply. What's the worst that could happen? At a place like Macy's I'm sure they get many many applications and may realize they already asked her to come in and turned her away. Of course you do risk that they recognize her, but in that case she should just convey she made a mistake and learned from it and is trying again. They probably have multiple people interviewing so that may not happen. Good luck!

Its normally a given that if you are going to an interview professional dress is expected. It shows that you are serious about the position. I doubt if they will reconsider her application, but you never know until you try. It is the holiday season, maybe they're desperate for workers.

I'd wait six months or so before reapplying.

NEVER go to an interview in jeans. Anyone who does will pretty much ensure they don't get hired.
