My husband and I were stationed at Fort Sam Houston during AIT (both now out of the Army) and loved it so much we want to live there, but we don't know what area(s) to look at to live. We have a four month old daughter to consider and also don't want to live so far from having fun in the city. Any suggestions?

I live in the NW part of town. Grissom and Bandera, just a couple stoplights outside of 410. Love it here. Prices are reasonable and there is a 'separation' between residential and commercial more so than on the NE. NC is the most expensive. Larger lots for the money on the south side of town. It all depends upon what you like.
I moved here from near Chicago and have been selling real estate for 15 yrs. I love San Antonio. Small town feel with all the amenities of a big city.
