i'm from australia& im planning to go to china with my 2 friends, one is chinese but she's a local. i was pretty shocked by a lot of the answers on here, i feel very ashamed of any australians who would treat chinese locals badly out of ignorance and a delluded, egotistical sense of racial supremity

conversely, i'm still a student and we have many international students from china. i have international friends, & i find them all to be very studious, cultured, honest and decent. a few international students are "corrupted by the western view" - which is that they have misinterpreted how australians live and sleep around & blow their parents money.

there are some australians who look down on the international students - very few, but they are, in every sense, ignorant, prejudice, uncultured idiots.

for me, i don't care if they're chinese or not, i view them as just individuals & they fit in very well.

so, how do the chinese really view australians/americans - is there a difference?

I am traveling to NYC from Tampa for training in November for a one-day seminar, located in Soho. Which airport would be closest and the best one to use? Also, how long is the taxi drive from the airport to Soho and would it be unrealistic to expect to make a 9:45 a.m. check-in time if my flight lands at 8:45? Thank you!

The Greek Research Center on Equality Matters (KETHI) stressed that violence against women is not caused by poverty and unemployment in Greece. Rather, the cause for violence against women is the fact that Greek society does not recognize substantial equality between men and women in every day life.,as they recognize and tolerate the presence of homosexuality in Greek society. Violence against women is easily excused, at least more than any other form of violence is excused, and many times the victim is accused of provoking such violence.. Men learn that it is their right to control the mind, heart and life of their women, and learn to feel security when their companion is dependent and submitted. A completely independent female companion breeds insecurity since it is not her priority to make a man happy. Women themselves learn to be submissive, to be patient with violence, to remain silent and not demanding. As a result, there is a lack of solidarity among women who experience violence that reinforces inactivity against violence.
It has been estimated that 83% of Greek women has suffered from some form of domestic abuse, either psychological or physical; 16% of these women have experienced psychological, physical and sexual violence together.

to the USA, we only live a few miles away from the border, with our dollar soring to 1.05 to the USAs dollar, it only makes sence to buy a lot of things in the States. This is how different prices are> a car bought in Canada would cost>24,000 in the States it would cost 17,000. Another one a crochet book in Canada is 29,00 American price 17.00
This is actally two Questions.
Do I need a passport?
What do you think about the differences?
I was actually in Micheals Craft store and they were still charging 29.99 for the Crochet book.
Our food still costs more. I'm a we lot angry about this.
God bless.

I am a young professional with a 10 year old son. We are interested in living in downtown Cleveland. We love to watch the Cavs, Indians, and Browns and really want to be in the middle of all the excitement. I am curious if there are any children living downtown. I would send him to a private school, so the public school system will not be an issue for us. Someone answered a previous question of mine and blatantly stated that kids don't live downtown. Is this true?

Do you ever feel like you personally are the one to stand up and fight for your side (Israel, Palestine?) Do you actually think that the ME is checking out YA to see what we think? Do you ever step back and say "hey i'm American , or Canadian , or European? And realize that the majority of the others here also are? So then why, do we cut through each others opinion and hurt and insult each other? And If we met each other in person , are we this vicious in real life?

I plan to hike Mt. Pulag, Benguet at the end of this month. Since Baguio is on the way to Pulag, I plan to take my car to Baguio and then a bus to the Pulag jump-off. Is there a safe and reasonably priced long-term parking lot in Baguio? My car will be parked for about two days.

Thanks a lot!

Namely the following cities:

Marimar
Sunrise
Pembroke Pines

Moving to Florida next year with my interracial family and want a multicultural environment that is safe. I researched and saw that Broward County is a pretty safe county, and the aforementioned cities are pretty safe, even with the mixture of races and cultures. This is awesome. I was wondering if people had any first hand knowledge of any of these places. Thanks.

I was under the impression that Jesus is never mentioned by name in the Old Testament and that though there are references to a messiah, it's clear it is not Jesus.

Why do many Christians insist that Jesus IS mentioned, though? And in such a way that it's 'clear' it's him?

If I've got it all wrong, please do tell me! Thanks for your help.
