So, I am planning on going to Canada on the 16th of this month. I am from America...Ohio. How do I get a passport and how long would it take? Thanks in advance!

I hope you plan on driving, because you currently only need a passport if you fly. AND you won't get one by the 16th. If you drive, you can get by with a drivers license and birth certificate.

You can get a passport by going to most post offices. Be aware that it takes up to 6 weeks. They do have expedited service, which will take 3 weeks. You can get more information here:

http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html

Since you need it urgently, go here:

http://travel.state.gov/passport/about/agencies/agencies_913.html

They may be able to really expedite it.
