depends what you're planning on studying, and what kind of lifestyle you want - eg bath (somerset) is a beautiful town, but quiet... london's obviously a happening place, but very expensive for accomodation... leeds is a party town... oxford's middle-class with lots to do and history... i'd start with your course, find universities that offer it, then look into the places they are

Well, it depends what you're going to study and where. Are you going to attend a British university? If so, different universities are better for different subjects. There's a section on universities on The Times website (www.timesonline.co.uk ). If you aren't going to study at a British university, then it still might depend on what you're studying. If you have complete freedom in where to go in the UK, I'd personally choose any county in south England, although it's also the most expensive place to live (South West isn't though).

I would suggest any county in the far south west of England such as Cornwall or Devon.
They are lovely places and have some of the best weather in the UK.

I would suggest Devon County. It's a great place. Devon has some of the most beautiful places. And: The University of Exeter

If I am not mistaken England is a country. It is part of the United Kingdom. I don't know what kind of suggestion you are looking for. Do you want to know where to live? Well, if you live outside of England and study there your commute will be horrific, so I would suggest England. :)
