I am starting to run again, at 50 years old, however, everytime I get started, my knee gives way at my patella tendon? It seems like a pop. I use the elliptical for 30 minutes - non stop and do not have this problem. I have to stop because of the pain and usually fall when it happens. I really miss running. Does anyone have a clue what is going on?

I ran about 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday. My shoes are only a few weeks old. Today I noticed that my lower back (the right side in particular) is sore! Very strange. I do weight training, so it's not like it's a muscle I never use or something. Could this be due to the run, or maybe I did something funny to it somehow?

So I was suppose to be participating in the relay portion of a marathon, bringing my contribution of only a 10K. Well, all three team members I was running with have backed out, and now I have been asked to complete a half marathon with another runner.

So I have one week to get myself prepared to complete double the anticipated milage, 13.1 miles. I have until December 2nd. Is there anyone who can give me advice as to how I can get in the training that will help me the most by then?

I have access to a gym and running outdoors, as well as endless hours to dedicate to training this week. Also, I was thinking of juicing this whole week with adding fish and egg white protein portions for my meals.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm really looking for a whole workout breakdown. Thanks!

Sadly, I've already had to cancel two dates, since it can be a little awkward to whip out your tool when it's all sensitve and scarred. And I've had to stop masturbating as well! Help! I'm getting too much work done around the house!

I am trying to get a 3 mile run in 18 minutes as fast as possible, will need it for a test.
Anyway, I am in good shape but running has always kicked my ***. Right now I can get 3 miles in about 24 minutes, and 1 mile in about 6:30.

Anyone know good ways to train quickly for a 3 mile run?

I know, DO IT to get better at it, and I am, but I am also looking for other things to do, also ways to improve your respiratory system.

I know the curves are important if you want to gain precious time.

Also, should i burst out full speed or go at say 80% and then go full force on the straight strip?

I have been running for over three years now and I have become an ok runner, nothing like professionals. Now when I run I don’t even feel anything like I use to, like that high you get when you run, I don’t even get that now, and my body is in constant pain, even when I sleep. I don’t even feel like I get a good work out but there is no way that I can run faster, I run like 8 miles and hour on the tred mill and I cant go any faster, my body wont let me, it would hurt way to bad, so what I am wanting to know is why this has happened to me and what can I do to get my high back and to feel like I got a good work out? I also have not been sweating enough like I had been during the summer, what is going on?

Next year will be high school soccer tryouts and you have to run 3 miles in less than 22 min. I pretty much run out of breath at the end of 1 mile. So 3 miles will be hell for me. Is it possible for me to die from running 3 miles in less than 22 min? I have asthma as well. Is there anyway I can run the 3 miles without dying?

BTW, can I use my inhaler while I run?

its this Tuesday. Its of my school. This is the first year that i decided to run it. Its a Mile and about 3 quarters. Im not a fast runner, and i dont really care if i come in last place, and i think i am coming in last place. I feel kind of anxious when i think of it. What i've been doing to keep it out of ming is thinking about future plans, like thanks giving and stuff. I am 13 years old. When i run a mile the time is aroung 10 minutes and some sec. I know SLOOOW. but that how i run. What are some other techniques that i could do to make the bad feeling go away?

I need to get in shape for track which is in February. I am extremely out of shape. I currently weigh 136 pounds, and I'm 5 ft. 3in. Thats VERY bad! I want to loose the weight so I can build muscle and get in shape. Does anyone know how I can do this in a short period of time: loosing weight and gaining muscle.??

I'm an 8th grader and I did cross country. Our competitions were 1.5 mile runs and I did that in 9:30 at my best. I finished 15th in the city. But in highschool, freshmen's must run 2 miles and most do that in around 12 minutes! I do 2 miles in about 13.30.

I have until next august about to get better so how can I!? I run about 1.5 miles 4 times a week. I think I should be doing more so please tell me what to do. I've been doing that for a while but always have the same times

Running daily would not be a problem but how can I actually get faster times! I want to be decent in freshmen year and 13:30 would be one of the last place runners! It's a big step up from 8th grade running to highschool.

I have no idea on how to train so please help me, tell me routines to do, tell me how I can improve time on 2 miles. I'D LIKE TO DO 2 MILES IN 12 MINUTES BY JUNE 2008, at least. Also what is a good diet to go with this? What to eat and when?

Any guides, links or info is greatly appreciacted!
