Split your training into mulitple sessions. Trying performing your cardio training earlier in the day and your sport-skill training later in the evening. As for programs to develop both speed and endurance, look into Fartlek and Interval training programs.

Begin by developing your cardiovascular endurance.
Run from 3 to 5 miles 3 to 5 days each week.
Don't worry about speed just do it, and after the first month increase the distance to 5 miles 5 to 6 days each week.

Beginning with the second month start doing 2 hard days each week where you are running at 70 to 80% of maximum speed.

After the second month start doing strides on the field, sprint the entire length of the field and jog back for recovery, do 10 times, 2 days each week.
Do the strides after finishing an easy day of distance.

After you have done the strides for 3 weeks, sprint back without the jog recovery.

You can practice your lacrosse skills for 15 to 20 minutes each day after running.
If you can run 3.5 miles in about 30 minutes now you are better than 90% of the population.

just do it.
do interval training, interval build up running, 400m sprints.
running isn't for everyone. get fit to run, don't run to get fit.
