i had indoor track practice this morning and felt fine during the workout but afterwards i had a pain behind my right knee that feels like i may have pulled something. It hurts mainly when i get up from sitting down or extend my leg. I have had about 2 weeks off since xc ended but i did run a little did i just work to hard to soon? help

you probably over stretched a muscle. put a heating pad on it and let it sit. the heat makes it feel better and it relaxes your muscle. it should be better in no time.

Personally, I'd see a sports medicine doctor or at least your trainer and coach about it. I think it has to do with hyperextending the right leg on the indoor turns.

I'd recommend ice right after running for 15 minutes.

sounds like you need to stretch your hamstring really really good before you run. Also you need to do a piriformis stretch , bc the piriformis runs right behind your knee and up the side of your upper leg

you have pulled up a muscle or something..try putting your knee in wam water..
