Next year will be high school soccer tryouts and you have to run 3 miles in less than 22 min. I pretty much run out of breath at the end of 1 mile. So 3 miles will be hell for me. Is it possible for me to die from running 3 miles in less than 22 min? I have asthma as well. Is there anyway I can run the 3 miles without dying?

BTW, can I use my inhaler while I run?

You should be able to carry your inhaler while you run.

If you start coaching slowly you shouldnt have a drawback. Start via environment your self the target fo going for walks a mile non give up at your possess velocity and purpose to make it a bit quicker whenever, then move to 2 miles stepping it up once more and ultimately the 3 miles. Your bronchial asthma might or won't have an effect on you however deliver an inhaler simply in case you wish to have it. I can run three miles in approximately thirteen mins now and I'm nonetheless alive so no... you wont die :)

First, check with your doctor about rules for trying out with sports with asthma. He'll have some suggestions.

Then, do some running in the days and months ahead as often as possible. You'll find that you can build up to a long distance. You won't die if you take your time. If you are going too hard, nature has a way of telling you -- you get tired and stop. Funny how that works.

You'll do fine. If I can run long distances, you can.
