When it comes to religion, do you believe that by forcing your beliefs on another person, you can change their fate?
If someone disagrees with your spiritual or religious ideas, do you argue with them until they agree, or do you smile and shrug?
What's your motto on religious differences? Is it more of a "One Truth" or "Every religion is based on love and eternal truth"?

Why is it that the bible only tells stories held in Israel, Egypt, and etc....the point is...it does not mention stories of other regions of the world! Why is that? Did God never travel to China ROFLOL! Doesn't this prove that the bible was originally just a religion made up by people living in that region? If God is omni-present, then it would only make sense if the bible included events across the whole earth!

"The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness, 7 maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."
EXODUS 34:6,7
So Christians think it is ok for children of the father to take the blame? Where is the logic in that? How come my father's sin becomes my sin?? Is that a God of love to come up with such a principle?? Fair??
If we are sinful by default then why are we not unsinful by default since God is our "father"??

I don't think mocking nor name-calling would convince those whose beliefs differ from you. doing so also just questions the validity of our beliefs. If what you believe is true then no matter what anyone says against it will not change it.

"I'm not the maternal type and I never wanted children". WHat would prompt a mother to say this? It's just a puzzling thing I am trying to work out.

I know this isn't an R&S question but I generally get intelligent and helpful answers from you guys.

Thanks

10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

Recently I read about a death of a boy who is one year ahead of my at school. I began to cry as I looked at his myspace, which is stell kept, and it's weird because he went to my school and everything. I never, ever knew him, but here I am, still crying for him. He was fifteen, I think. And it got me thinking.

Lately I've been questioning my religious beliefs. I'm a Catholic and have always believed in Heaven, but my biggest fear is that when I die, nothing will happen. I want Heaven to be true, and I want to have my conscience live on after I die, but with all of the science anazlyzing the creation of our earth instead of God doing it, and with all of the other religious beliefs, I don't know. I'm afraid that when I die, that will be the end of it. I don't know how to reassure myself, because really what I want is proof that it exists, but I just don't know.

Does anyone know how to align religious beliefs that are being reluctantly doubted?

Can we please just drop the "Christians hate gays" line of comments?

Case in point: http://ca.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Apa2b2ybxvdOW7nWgiOsXBfAFQx.?qid=20070802202308AAlwr3W

I know most are trolls, but why feed them? I'm rather tired of it. It's NOT true. They only promote more hatred and intolerance.

And to you self proclaimed open minded and tolerant "Christians", "Muslims", "Jews", Atheists, Agnostics, and any others who really have something against gays, please just stop it. We're all tired. It's done, finished, kaput!

:D

What does the Catholic Church think about people donating their organs after death?

The ego of self can be the deliverer of either the sweetness of the sensabilities of self; the strength of the character of self and the smartness of the powers of the personality of self; OR it can be used by the self for flaunting the powers and abilities of self together with the knowledge and energies of self and the confidence and courage of self.

How can we learn to stop using our ego from displaying all that which the self knows and uses as his powers and abilities; and instead allowit to deliver all that our inner self possess.

Who is the ultimate driver of the self; the ego of the self which is capable of driving the self to perform actions of the mind of self; or that self which is capable of driving the ego of the self to wisely use and deliver the sweetness of the sensabilities of self; the strength of the character of self and the smartness of the powers of the personality of self;for enabling and empowering the self first to perform actions of the mind.

Why do people send chain emails saying things like if you love God send this to 10 people in 10 minutes. Emailing spam doesn't justify your religion or love for God. It really annoys me. Like I just recieved an email about prayer and it ended do you have time to send this. these emails just make you feel guilty for not praying in your free time or forgeting to bless your food but it doesn't determine your religious level or love for God. I don't understand what powers people to write these things and then tell you if you don't send it your not christian. Does anyone else feel the same way/

I very vaguely remember reading something about time going by quickly for one kind of person and time moving slowly for another. I turned 24 today, 9 minutes ago officially. It feels like time is flying by so quickly, as if days just run together. It feels like just yesterday I was 18 and just starting out. What does Islam say about this? I know it says something, but can't remember. Thank you in advance for the helpful and respectful answers.
