How long does a catholic annulment take and how much does it cost?

I don’t want answers from atheists, witches or the like, this is a religious forum too.

I asked a legitimate question, wanting a legitimate answer from Catholics or other people who have been through a Catholic annulment.

You’re opinions about my church are already known, this was not a question attacking your belifes or lack there of. This was a question regarding annulments not atheism vs. Christianity.

How long depends on how complicated is the case, how many witnesses, how long it takes to track them down and interview them, etc.

How much depends on the diocese. Here is a sampling:

St. Cloud: $500
Lake Charles: $350
Erie: $400
Austin: $375

You'll have to contact your Diocesan Office for that information.
It depends on your income, so plan on bargaining the amount down to a lower level.

A friend was quoted $2,000 for an annulment, but due to "hardship" he paid only $200.

Time-wise, it depends upon the backlog of paperwork, and the financial desperation of the Diocese.

I can't answer your question. However, I can tell you some good news. It takes no time and costs no money to disassociate yourself from the Catholic church. It's a pretty dodgy church run by grumpy old men wearing medieval robes and pointy hats. Ignore them, disregard them, forget them. Trust me, it's the right thing to do.

mine took 1 year from the official divorce decree. my ex was a catholic and I was a devout anything that floated my boat at that time.
