Many people, even churchgoers, don't have a clue in terms of the cross of Jesus. Mel Gibson's movie focused too much on the physical sufferings of Jesus but disregarded the Lord's TRUE MEANING for allowing His own death. He paid a price that could not be paid by any other means. Jesus came down from heaven in the form of a man to die on the cross as PROPHESIED in the Old Testament.

Your view?

For example, Al Shaitan and Cheese and Rice.... they always give the best answers each other, and other than them, anti Mormons only interact within themselves, no1 else outside of thir circle. Some of them worship themselves and others... I don't know, but would you consider this a cult? hehehe

We (mormons) are accused by these people of being a cult and thare is a quote in spanish that says this: "El ladron juzga por si condicion" which means "The thief judges by its condition" that means that some people accuse others of doing something that they (the accuser) does... I hope you get it, i don't know very well how to explain it.

If the bible said that God was a homosexual would you still believe it?

Also if Christians believe the bible to be true why is it that if there is something in the bible they agree with they think it is to be taken litterally and if there is something they don't agree with they say it is to be take metaphorically?

So which is it should the bible be taken litterally or metaphorically?

I just saw a question where a whole bunch of people said that neither they nor anybody else was qualified to define Truth. So let this poor atheist take a stab at it:

"Truth is what is real irregardless of who or how many people believe in it."

What do you think? Any better definitions?

Hebrews 11:32 states that Samson was a man of faith (a saved person). However, he played around with prostitutes during his lifetime. Isn't there something wrong here? Can a whoremonger who professes faith in Christ still be saved?

Hi to all good hearted peopel. I have posted this question before, but I am reposting it due to all evils that have had put nothing here but negative comments about the Islam. My last question was Hi, to you all brothers and sisters. First of all I want to thank all you good Muslims that have answered my questions, about the Islam. I feel I now need to make the next move, visit a mosque. I have been told to talk to an Imam. Any information would be appreciated, I need to know what is an Imam, how to approach him, dress code to talk to him or her. Also what is the proper greeting, I really don't want to sound disrespectful when I visit. Thank you for all the inputs.

Let's say that the omnipotent being of your choice comes to you in a dream one night and says that YOU are responsible for planning (or redesigning, if you prefer) the methods and facilities for imprisoning the eternally damned.

You're on the spot! What's YOUR version of hell like? Be creative!

Thanks in advance for your answers.

I think the Jews would be the most skilled, but the Muslims the most fanatical and aggressive. The Christians and Muslims would probably end up doing something stupid like having a civl war and shooting their own team. So ultimately I would have to say the Jews would win.

Lust: Another Name For Adultery

Sex is not sin--to enjoy it is.

In the Sermon on the Mount, the Lord Jesus shocked the people of His day when He equated lust to ADULTERY! His actual words are:

"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed ADULTERY with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into HELL."

Please note the serious consequences of lust (mental adultery). According to Jesus, it's possible to end up in Hell over this! Therefore, this sin must not be taken lightly, as many people do.

I find that most Catholics regard Lutheranism as the only Protestant denomination really worth taking seriously. Irrrespective of official positions,at a grass-roots level,Lutherans are well-respected by American Catholics. But how do Lutherans feel about us?

Bush put his faith-based initiatives before Congress. Congress voted them down and the President implemented them through executive order.

The first amendment clearly reads, "CONGRESS shall make no law..." -- The Establishment Clause doesn't mention Presidents making up laws Congress never passed, does it?

Some people will maintain that a sin is a sin, but most of us can agree that there is a kind of heirarchy of evil, that stealing bubblegum is not as bad as, say, murdering a family.

For the purposes of this question, you are free to define "sin" any way you please.

So what, in your opinion, are the five absolute worst no-no's? Is torture worse than kidnapping? Is homosexuality more justifiable than euthanasia? Is lying to a priest better or worse than lying to a nun? You tell me. I'm eager to read your opinion.

Please include your religious affiliation, if you feel comfortable doing so. Thanks in advance for your answers.
