2 Tim. 3:1-5 talks about how in the last days we will have critical times hard to deal with and then goes on to show how people will act. 2 Peter 3:3,4 shows that there will be ridiculers. 1 John 2:17 and 2 Peter 3:7 tell us that the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever. and....talks about how the heaven and earth are reserved for the day of judgement and of destruction of UNGODLY men. Yes, Prov. 2:22 the wicked will be cut off from the very earth! BUT....2 Peter 2:9 Jehovah knows how to deliver people of godly devotion out of trial!

At this very moment MAN has the power to end all human life. Sin is so rampant that its just part of regural human behavior. God set up time for man to only exist for 7 days, but lets rememder to God a thousand years is of one day. We are now going into God's day of rest. Which is the sabbath, the 7th day. We, mankind, are governed by time, God is not. If anyone knows the bible then you know that no man knows the day and the hour but to keep a watchful eye for our redeemer. A simple way to know if we are living in the last days is to keep an eye on Isreal.

Look how in the scriptures show it:
Timothy 3:1-9
1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Yes. This generation is the one to see the Coming of the Son of Man.
Israel became a nation in one day in 1948. The generation to see this happen, is the one Jesus refers to as the one who will see His Coming.
Also, there are other signs. "Wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in various places, the corruption of humankind. The end is near. Oh, and Jesus also said that they would be saying "Where is His coming? Things are just as they were before. Nothing has changed." Then, "He will come like a thief in the night" to those who do not keep watch and pray!
Hey, I just noticed this, but my name is Lori B, too!!!!

Obviously nearer than they were fifty years ago. You usually don't know these things until well after the event.
