Lust: Another Name For Adultery
Sex is not sin--to enjoy it is.
In the Sermon on the Mount, the Lord Jesus shocked the people of His day when He equated lust to ADULTERY! His actual words are:
"But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed ADULTERY with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into HELL."
Please note the serious consequences of lust (mental adultery). According to Jesus, it's possible to end up in Hell over this! Therefore, this sin must not be taken lightly, as many people do.

About Me: I made a commitment to Christ at fourteen years of age. At that time I felt the call of God on my life and at seventeen I married my sweetheart, Tom Hanson.
We had a 2 months old daughter from me and Hanson, and two one year old sons from a previous encounter and one while travelling to Uganda from a guy whom I was able to convert to the Lord's way. When we married, Hanson was a very spiritual young man and he thought someday he would become a preacher and me would be a preachers wife. But God had some other plan. So, today
I myself operate the ministry with my girlfriend Cindy. Hanson and I got divorced--but we still co-operate
and have maintained a close friendship.

Marriage is honorable among all and the bed undefiled but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

Sex in the marriage bed is not a sin nor is it a sin to enjoy it. God made sex for married people to enjoy and to get as close to God's love as one can get in this world.
Jesus died for ALL our sins not just the ones we had before we accepted Him as our Lord and Savor but those we commit today and even the ones we may commit tomorrow. That does mean we need to try to live a better life and to repent from our sins and the Holy Spirit will help us to do better when we ask for help.

It is an impossibility for a husband to LUST for his wife - by your deffinition on the word.
Basically God created mankind as a sexual being - why ? Pro-creation ? Thats one reason, but God fully intends for a MARRIED couple to enjoy each other. (For the record, by the way, thats a man and woman married !)
Outside the marriage the feelings men and women have sexually for someone OTHER THAN their spouse - Thats lust and it IS a sin.
If we as humans are doomed because we lust, even in the marriage, them why did God establish marriage in the first place?

You copy and paste that same tiried profile page into handreds of questions we are really sick of it.
Lust was created by our creator to make the multipleing of ourselves enjoyable. The adultry that jesus talked about was for someone elses wife. Knowing if you thought about it long enough you would do it.
You are put here to make Christians look bad and discredit christianity.

Wrong. Otherwise why order them to multiply and fill the earth? How else would they accomplish this task?
He made it a pleasurable thing to do. Sex OUTSIDE of marriage is what Jesus was talking about. This is a part of fornication.

In your question you said to enjoy sex is a sin.
It sounds like you mean to say that sex should only be for making children and not to enjoy it while doing it.
God gave us nerve endings for us to feel with. It feels good when my wife rubs my arm or back. It feels good when we make love.
To me, the sin is if I'm using sex with my wife as a means to run from my problems or escape from something or as an act of aggression or power.
Look at this example:
God gave us taste buds to enjoy our food, and feelings in our stomach to know when we've had enough.
The sin to me is when I eat beyond what my stomach can hold because I'm lusting for more & more of the food.
Anyway, Thanks for the thought provoking 'question'

You are one sick puppy. GOd created sex for procreation, joy, and emotional connection in marriage. You have a sick twisted view of sexuality. Lust is desiring something God says is sinful. If sex between married people was sinful, God would have made another way for children to be created.
No wonder your marriage didn't work! By the way- you and your "girlfriend" should know that God thinks being a lesbian is sin.

It's that kind of "thinking" that's left my head [NSFW]ed up when it comes to sex. (While some of *them* were off doing the altar boys, too!) Looking at your brief history, i'd say that your head is [NSFW]ed up too, though with a different outcome.
If you get off on loathing your wifely duty, good for you. I'm trying to figure out how to reconcile myself with my biological programming. This Augustinian-Freudian morass can't be a good thing.

No - you're quite wrong. It is a sin to lust, but not after your own spouse. I highly recommend reading Song of Solomon.

Lust after another person is bad--but lusting after your husband/wife is not a sin in fact that may produce a better marriage. Take the verse in contact. If I look upon another woman it is lust. If I look at my wife its not lust its romance for I am not seeking sin.

i didnt read all of that but saw at the start and i quote "Sex is not sin--to enjoy it is" if its with you husband or wife, its not sin at all. Sin is sin no short or long. If you do one you do all the others, therefore Lust being the primal sin is a load of monkey nuts.
