I don't think mocking nor name-calling would convince those whose beliefs differ from you. doing so also just questions the validity of our beliefs. If what you believe is true then no matter what anyone says against it will not change it.

Sometimes question are asked by a person of a faith to their brotherens and others who answer make it their point to give their unwanted point of view ...

and those who aren't civil are ruining the name of their own belief and offened good people who are just trying others to understand their point of view ... and those who mock should be banned completely ... they are here to give their opinion not to judge ...

if you use the word "nor" the word "neither" has to come before it. and it should be "...those whose beliefs differ from YOURS." Also, the word "also" in the next sentence is unnecessary. the last sentence sounds wrong, but i'm not sure why.

(edited) hey no problem... i was actually thinking you were a native english speaker because the mistakes you made were not that bad... i was being very picky

I agree with your question/statement too. I have noticed that often times when I read questions that have rude answers, it is the same IDs being rude over and over again. I think some on here miss the fact that being rude and insulting, making up outlandish rumors about others, etc. in no way validates their own beliefs.

Thank you! Even though some will mock you, stand strong!

It is unfortunate that some cannot express their opinion without belittling the asker.

Yeah, but some people feel they (and their beliefs) are superior to everyone else(s), they're justified in using any means they feel necessary to denigrate those that do not believe as they do.

nope, it isn't going to happen. A valiant, but futile, effort my friend. It has been tried before, and will be tried by others many times to come, but it will never happen. I try to be civil in all my answers, but sometimes......there are just those that need a good snapping at. :)

I agree when some mocks my faith it's like putting blinders over my eyes or ear plugs in my ears, so I try not to be that way to others.

Right on Mack Mack. Yes, I can be civil. Whether I choose to be is dependent on what kind of day I've had.

A belief can be overturned if the belief is found to be faulty.
