Religion bases chain emails...?

Question

Why do people send chain emails saying things like if you love God send this to 10 people in 10 minutes. Emailing spam doesn't justify your religion or love for God. It really annoys me. Like I just recieved an email about prayer and it ended do you have time to send this. these emails just make you feel guilty for not praying in your free time or forgeting to bless your food but it doesn't determine your religious level or love for God. I don't understand what powers people to write these things and then tell you if you don't send it your not christian. Does anyone else feel the same way/

That's taking religion too far. No one should be forced to do anything when it comes to religious practices or even choosing a religion. They're your beliefs and your life.

Also, spam in general is stupid and annoying.

Amen and so be it! Email chains are a pain in the neck. If I need to forward my email to 10 people in the next 10 minutes in order to prove that I love God, I am in big trouble....

...what if the power goes out??? Does that mean I don't love God because I can't get my email?

Yes they annoy me too.I hit the delete button.They are simply superstition and have nothing to do with Faith.They are just the chain letters that promised wealth if you did certain things in an email form.Its like going to a palm reader.

i receive such emails too.. the once with the curse at the end i ignore..well.. i'm still alive and nothing bad has happend to me. as for the other prayers which says i have to pass it and something good will happend to me. i pass it when i see the prayer is nice. but more often than not i just read it not really pass it around. for me it's just a reminder that even in my most busiest day i could still pray..

oh i know! you feel guitly if u dont send it! but i God doesnt love you more if you dont send an email that some ramdom person made up. i think if u do something nice FOR someone God will bless u more. the emails are cute...but sometimes annoying!

as you know are a strange, fickle, funny,some just don't think....one reason being they can't see that they should be responsible for learning and reading the Bible, most think Sunday and maybe Wednesday night....is all they need and never think, are see that they may need more.....I thirst for knowledge of everything about God, Jesus..on a daily basic, sometime I spend 2 to sometime 8 hours or more. I'm not bragging or trying to make anyone feel bad ,but you and they don't know I am in bed most of my day with my computer, I'm disabled,and this is my life now..researching,writing, answering questions on here and 90% of what I do is learn about God. And this is one of the messages I've been ask to put out, before it's to late...I Pray it helps people, I've gotten letters thanking me for helping them...it was a comfort to someone dying, or really sick, or at a crossroads about their spiritual life.....this is not a chain letter...I've had email asking to use it as a Sunday morning service theme....

THE DREAM

I DREAMED ONE NIGHT TWO ANGELS CAME TO MY BED. THEY TOOK ME TO HEAVEN I FELT I HAD NOTHING
TO DREAD. WE STOOD IN FRONT OF A BIG WHITE GATE. IT OPENED SLOWLY AS WE STOOD IN WAIT.
MANY CLOUDS BILLOWED AND SWIRLED ABOUT US AS I STOOD IN AWE OF THE SIGHTS AND SOUNDS THAT
SURROUNDED US. WHAT I SAW WORDS COULD NOT EXPRESS, I WANTED TO STAY AT THIS BEAUTIFUL ADDRESS.
THE ANGELS ALLOWED ME TO LOOK INSIDE, THE BEAUTY THE MAJESTY, MADE ME CRY.
"IT'S TRUE, IT'S ALL TRUE, I KNOW THAT IT'S TRUE" I HEARD MYSELF CRY, AS TEARS RAN STREAMING
FROM MY EYES.
I KNEW WHAT I SAW WAS NOT OF THIS EARTH,THIS CREATION WAS FOR THOSE OF THE NEW BIRTH. THE
POWER, THE BEAUTY, THE SIGHT OF IT ALL WAS SO STRONG,THAT THE ANGELS SHUT THE GATES QUICKLY
TO MY NEW HOME. "IT'S NOT YOUR TIME," I HEARD THEM SAY, " WE JUST WANTED YOU TO SEE WHAT WAS

YOU HAVE BEEN.YOU MUST TELL OTHERS ABOUT THIS DREAM. THAT GOD'S WORD IS TRUE. IT'S THE REAL THING.
GOD HAS LET YOU SEE WHAT IS YOUR REWARD IF YOU WORSHIP, LOVE HIM, AND KEEP HIS WORD."
WE ALL NEED TO REALIZE THAT IT'S REALLY TRUE. WE NEED TO GET THE LOST ONES IN IF IT'S ALL THAT WE
DO. WE DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME, THE END IS NEAR, AND YES, IF YOU ARE LOST YOU HAVE EVERYTHING TO FEAR.
CALL ON JESUS NOW, SO YOU CAN GO TO AND YOU'LL SEE WHAT I SAW AND YOU'LL BE EXCITED TOO.

I REALLY DREAMED THIS DREAM JUST AS IT IS WRITTEN. I FEEL IT WAS INSPIRED BY GOD AND HE GUIDED MY
THOUGHTS AND MY HAND IN PUTTING THIS TOGETHER.

I AM GIVING THIS TO YOU BECAUSE I LOVE YOU AND GOD HAS DIRECTED ME TO DO SO.
I HOPE THIS MESSAGE WILL HELP YOU TO MAKE THE BIGGEST DECISION OF YOUR LIFE

Me too. I do hate it when an email tries to guilt you into forwarding it.Some try to make you feel that you don't love God if you don't, some try to make you think you'll have bad luck if you don't.

K: As a Christian, I couldn't agree more with you. I receive e-mails that sound so syrupy, from both, Christians and non-believers alike containing "religious" buzz words and poems.

Sharing our faith through emails is OK, but when it becomes a stumbling block for a believer, that's not OK. Hope those who do it realize the difference between evangelism and becoming bothersome.
