10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.

9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.

8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.

7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!

6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.

5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.

4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."

3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.

2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.

1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

This "question" (!?!) has been "asked" dozens of times here already. The "question" contains many outright lies and gross distortions about the bible and true Christianity. Here are a few Scriptural thoughts to consider:

(Romans 16:17) Keep your eye on those who cause divisions and occasions for stumbling contrary to the teaching that you have learned, and avoid them.

(2 Corinthians 4:4-6) The god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

(Philippians 2:14-15) In among a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you are shining as illuminators in the world

(1 Timothy 6:3-5) If any man teaches other doctrine and does not assent to healthful words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, nor to the teaching that accords with godly devotion, he is puffed up with pride, not understanding anything, but being mentally diseased over questionings and debates about words. From these things spring envy, strife, abusive speeches, wicked suspicions, violent disputes about trifles on the part of men corrupted in mind and despoiled of the truth

Look at #7.
Now look at #10.

Your most likely an Atheist,
Just by you stating that FALSE STATEMENT (#7), and then saying that Atheists know more about the Bible than Christians (#10) it would probably make your other statements Wrong.

Please read the Bible you know nothing of.

ummm... I don't laugh at that, I don't feel outraged at the other thing you said...... I don't feel insulted and I don't feel "dehumanized".....

I just love Jesus and I'm looking forward to hanging out with Him when I'm done here. Other people can believe whatever they want. Meanwhile I'm allowed to believe what Jesus said. Peace.

That is some seriously judgmental tirade. Apparently you believe you can just sum up all of Christianity in the world just because you have a bone to pick...?

Christians are the first to respond in virtually every natural disaster, foreign and domestic...Katrina, the Tsunami's...Christians gave more money than entire countries to help Muslims who were affected by this terrible storm...

You are forgetting those who feed and care for children on every continent....leaving friends and family to help people across the globe...How many Atheist or Agnostic aid organizations are there to care for the poor of the world? Are there any?

Those who give their time and money to help the poor in all countries on a regular basis.

Those who sacrifice their energy and time praying for people who hate them.

Those who despite the threat of life and liberty, speak out and take action against abuses of human rights throughout the world and even give their lives for the cause...

Those who gather to worship their creator out of Love despite those who mock their faith daily.

Those who speak out against and renounce violent retribution and vengeance because it goes against the teaching of Christ.

Those who rebuild communities and care for the sick of the world, even though the majority of foreign governments have laws against Christianity...the teaching, preaching, practice, or even existence thereof....with penalties ranging from prison to death...you see how the 22 Christian medical students are treated in Afghanistan by the Taliban...they went there on a humanitarian mission...2 are dead so far...

You seem to believe that Christians shouldn't be allowed to exercise their faith in God, just as you have the freedom to exercise your contempt for those who do.

We have faith that God is true, that the Bible is true, and what is a given for us is that we trust in God before we trust in the flawed abilities of man. In this, we always give God the benefit of the doubt, and especially if there is an argument with a human being on one side with what they claim is truth in their limited understanding, and God on the other side with His infinite wisdom, we side with God.

If you knew anything about the teachings of Christ, and Christianity, then you would know, the instances you mentioned are minority events, and not even remotely representative of the majority of Christian activity the world over.

Climb off your high horse and realize that all human beings are flawed sinners, and yes Christians are human too, and we will mess up, but we are commanded to forgive others. Christ loves you as much as he loves me, and He wants to save you, if you would only believe in Him. If you choose not to, that is your free choice. Just remember, no one knows when their time is up, but God does. I pray you realize that your limited human intellect and power cannot save you, and that you let God into your heart because He is knocking on it right now...I'd recommend opening the door to let Him in.

Take Care and God Bless you.

Relax and give your fingers a rest....

Way too much anger. Why does my faith offend you so much? I have not laughed at anyone, insulted them, reviled them for their beliefs.

I don't even know you, and you seem to hate me. I will stick with my faith.....for I am content, at peace, and hold no anger toward you.
