Because I want my neighbor to know that I am willing to help him when he needs help. The best way to do this, is through love.

If you were to tell someone you loved them, but treat them badly, they know the truth that you do not, and will not help you if you someday are in need of help. The only way to ensure the togetherness is to really love one another. If we treat life as a business relationship, then, we give when its only beneficial to ourselves, as well as we get only when its beneficial to others.

Sometimes life is just not beneficial, and if you are down and out and need your neighbors help, you just wont get it if you treat them as they were a business relationship, rather than a relationship based on love.

1) Love never hurts you. Even desire is usually pretty safe. It's thinking you are owed that gets you into trouble.

2) Love is your birthright. It is the natural freedom you have before you add things to your self-image to separate you from others.

3) We do that to save us pain love isn't causing in the first place. We hide, to prevent ourselves from feeling bad about something we don't have to feel bad about in the first place, but the pain just changes shape; it doesn't go away.

4) Love let's you see them as they are, and let's you react more accurately and realistically, makes saying, "No!" even easier.

5) I love you. Why wouldn't I want that for you?

I do, for I am faithful in Jesus, but doesn't "mean" I can practice it in a world so full of hate. WORDS are not quite as practical as REALITY and "regardless" of my convictions to my faith, it is "I" would has to deal with "this" life. Not the "Lord" in heaven. I am of a faith that is much older than that of most religions and part of that faith is that WE are the GODS of our own destinies and what happens is everyday living should be dealt with in the most rational manner. Unlike religions, the Egyptian faith of ancient times did not instill fear tactics or "guilt" to it's principles and I abide by those same principles..........

No, I dont. Nobody loves everyone, and to think like that is quite foolish. We should however respect everyone. With respect comes tolerance with tolerance comes a more peaceful society. Then and only then can you even think about loving everyone, but I still dont think that is feasible. Not to mention, why would you want to love everyone?

Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

..................what a better world this would be if we did follow what God says. most of us don't know or don't care to even get to know our neighbors. fear keeps us at bay.

This love spoken of is not narcisism but referes to the the care and providing for.
You are called to serve others and care and provide for their needs as you would your own.

Sadly in this day and age too many believe that they are worthless and deserving only of pain. To them I would desire they learn of their true worth in that the creator of the universe saw them as worthy of the death of His only Son. The ruler of this world is the father of lies. Jesus said he was a liar from the beginning. Please listen to the truth and not the lies. You are of great worth........

I am so sick to death of all these pseudo christian answers with 'God loves you', 'I'll pray for you' that I tell ya, I hardly have a hair left on my head. It just makes me want to rip it out.

You are NOT commanded to love EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God does NOT love EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you ever hear of God's WRATH? Yes, wrath, against His enemies.

There are different connotations for the word 'world' in the bible. Please, I beg of you, get a concordance, study to show yourself approved, and last but not least, stop misrepresenting my Lord Jesus, who is the Christ.

Now shut down the computer, go read, and get back to me.

I believe in that, but it's hard to do.I believe it,because it sounds reasonable.........if you like people to treat you in a certain way, then you should do the same thing with them.

That sounds good in Sunday school but it's neither practical or desirable.

It is how we show our love to God. It is about the only thing that really matters in this life.
