Why is it that the bible only tells stories held in Israel, Egypt, and etc....the point is...it does not mention stories of other regions of the world! Why is that? Did God never travel to China ROFLOL! Doesn't this prove that the bible was originally just a religion made up by people living in that region? If God is omni-present, then it would only make sense if the bible included events across the whole earth!

Good question.

No real answer other than the fact that Adam and Eve started in the area of the world where Abraham was from. Abraham's family may have had a certain record keeping ability that God used for his purpose. It doesn't prove anything though.

I've heard of records from China of a great flood event handed down by word of mouth until someone there finally wrote it down a few thousand years ago. If the bible is true, this story would be common to all areas of the world. Only those who kept good records would be able to remember it.

Again, it doesn't prove anything either way. Maybe different areas of the world, different peoples have different threads of the whole tapestry. When you put them altogether you have a complete story.

Well how are the people who wrote it supposed to know what was going on half way across the globe when they didnt even know some parts of the earth existed. No God didn't travel to China, he's god, not a man. No that doesnt prove that it was made up because the bible shares many similarities with islam and judism, which are also abrahamic religions. The bible is mostly methaphorical, and not to be taken literally, also its been changed and rewritten about a million times. Some parts of the bible even contradict themselves. There are many aspects of christianity that dont even exist in the bible. But if you just understand the jist of it and dont question it, then it should for the most part make sense. It was written to guide you in life, its filled with morals and values and important lessons and information that people should know. So who cares if the stories take place in one region. Does it really matter?

I'm sorry, but the Bible is an account of the events surrounding those that believed in Christ and God, not those of "other religions of the world." And no, Jesus never traveled to China. Why, because the people of that time and place had no contact with China. They didn't make contact for a long time. So those of the Bible time period had no idea of the people in China. God is omni-present, yes, but WE are not. They had no clue about China back then. so no, it DOES make sense that it is not included in the Bible, since no one traveled to China. It would not make sense if there was mentions of other places, like China.

SO, does that mean that Buddhism is made up as well, because it was only about the people in that region? does that mean that Islam is made up, because again, started by people in a specific region with no mention of other religions. Are you saying that all religions are wrong? O wait, thats probably your point. Does that make historical records wrong, because they were written by people of that region, with no mention of others. O and why, because there was no contact or knowledge of those other places.

SO, according to you, all history that we have now, is allll false.

the bible has earthly stories with heavenly meaning. God spoke in parables so no everyone would understand. He has a salvation plan that is unfolding. He will give understanding at the appropriate time. He says in Daniel: to seal and close up the words until the end of time. That is why all denomination have their own idea , beliefs and creed. The bible says to compare spiritual things with spiritual things. the verses have to be compared with other verses throughout the whole bible with those that harmonize, not just choose certain verses and just belief that. ex. many belief that Jesus will come as a thief in the not for all people, but if you continue to compare and compare you find that in the bible he says in many places: Watch!, Watch! Watch! Watch! and also he says ,But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

God did have knowledge of the false religions of the rest of the world when He warned Moses and the rest of the original Israelites that He led out of Egypt that they were not to do what the nations did that God drove out before them. But to now follow God's new instructions for them which is The Laws of Moses. God knew that as His nation spread and traveled across the world that He would be there to protect them as long as they didn't turn their backs on Him. The Israelites evolved into the Hebrews and Jews. Then Jesus came along who was cloned from God. Then the Christians evolved eventually reaching The United States of America.

Yes it would make sense if the Bible (capital "B" out of respect) included events across the whole earth. If you back up a bit and stay with "If the Bible is the truth . . . " and then back up a bit more and start with "If." Two little letters that determine the logic of what follows. If wishes were fishes we'd all be casting nets. I humbly sumbit that the Bible was written by man. Occam's Razor: The simplest explanation is usually the right one. Nietszche: "If God didn't exist it would be necessary to invent him."

In ancient times, the Chinese never believed in a God, they had some other type of Dogma, as well as native Americans in the Americas.
The people in the Israel, Egypt, and those historical places that are present in the bible were open to God's word.
God chose those people because they had the knowledge to interpret and understand what it was that God wanted them to learn.
God wouldn't go anywhere else or appear to anyone else if those people weren't ready.
It's kind of why history repeats itself, you have believers and nonbelievers still, and the it is the believer's duty to "spread the word," and share with others so that they have the opportunity to hear God's word and understand by a witness (a witness = believer) of God.

Consider this. God was using the Jewish nation of Israel as a type of role model for the nations around them. Therefore, God wanted them to be different. Since God was dealing solely with these Jewish people, He demanded that they adhere to various rules, and regulations concerning the instruction He gave to them. The focus upon these people, was for us today, to see that adhering to or keeping rules, laws etc., that God gave them was not within them to keep (they did not have the Holy Spirit within them, to enable them to do so). Laws simply, did not work and never will UNLESS the person WANTS to willing keep them. This is why the New Covenant for us today, is a "Spiritual" one and not a "Physical" one like the Jews had. God is concerned with the ultimate eternal life of ALL humans ever, born. This includes ALL nations of the world in their turn and time. God today, through Jesus Christ and the Bible draws different people of differing cultures world-wide, to enter into a spiritual relationship with Him. These people are called, "Christians" !!!

In the book of Mormon Jesus comes to America, sort of.

In the beginning, God came to the Hebrews because he chose them to be his people, starting with Abraham. The book centers on the land of the Hebrews because they were his people. If he'd chosen a tribe in China then the bible would all take place there.
Later, Jesus came and spread his cool word. Here, I can only tell you what I believe and that is that Jesus was a man or God made him a man in all ways-he could even die. Because of this and the lack of a helicopter he could only walk around the Roman territories.
You should understand that the bible only became a book for all people with Jesus, before that anyone who was not Hebrew was preterit-the afterthought. Jesus is said to have saved all of humanity by inviting us all into the fold if we believe in him/God and follow the rules of the bible. Spreading the good news, as Jehovah witnesses say, is what brought the word of God and Jesus (New testament and the old, Hebrew Torah) to the rest of the world.
If you believe that the holy spirit enters your heart when you truly believe then you can say that god is visiting the entire world.
Perhaps its a work in progress?

The bible was not intended to give you a world history lesson; go to community college for that. The purpose of the historical information is to support and explain the message. If Jesus was Chinese then it would probably have stories and historical events from China. It is obvious like most cynics you have never read or studied the Bible.
