Mark, 10 17-18

As he was setting out on a journey, a man ran up, knelt down before him, and asked him, "Good teacher, what must i do to inherit eternal life?" Jesus answered him, "Why do you call ME GOOD? NO ONE is good but God alone.

and it goes on with Jesus saying sell your possessions etc.

But the reason why i made those letters big, is, clearly stating that Jesus wasn't God. The man wasn't asking about Jesus's divinity, it was how to inherit eternal life, so why would Jesus reply "why do you call me good when no one is good but God alone"

Clearly Christianity and the Trinity are flawed concepts, what are you opinions on this, Christians (and others)?

different Christian faiths. Like say, Catholic, Methodist, Presbertyrian(I spell that right?) and any others. There is no limits on what it is as long as you claim to be a Christian.
What do you believe? The basics of your faith? Why do you feel that this branch of Christianity is more right than the others? Please give a reference if you can, if not just that it feels right to you is enough.

For the curious, I study all faiths and right now I am exploring Christianity more fully. I own several Bibles, and a few Bible Study help books.
Thank you for telling me about your beliefs.

If the bible isn't proof that God exists (and it isn't), and the wonders of nature don't prove that God exists (and they don't), and your personal, subjective feelings aren't proof of God's existence (again, nope), what evidence is there that God exits?

Is it possible that the truth of God is too simple for “intelligent” people to understand? I don’t mean to knock intelligent Christians certainly their are many and the spirit will open the eyes of anyone, but it seems to me that the truth about Christ is so simple and easy to believe… maybe too simple for those who take PRIDE in their own wisdom. I, clearly, never had a problem with simple thoughts, since I have a simple mind, but does that make it easier to see the truth?

Go ahead and put me in my place if need be, certainly I am inclined to error, but if you agree that those who BOAST about their intellect may have a more difficult time believing please acknowledge that possibility.

"we have a bunch of bad apples in a good barrel" or
"we have a bunch of basically good apples in a bad barrel"

Part of Isaiah 53 in the Bible says - about Jesus -
He was despised and rejected of men
A man of sorrows and acquainted with deepest grief.
We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way.
He was despised and we did not care.

Yet it was our weaknesses He carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed Him down.
And we thought His troubles were a punishment from God.
a punishment for His own sins.
BUT He was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.
All of us, like sheep, have gone astray
We have left God's paths to follow our own
Yet the Lord laid on Him, the sins of us all.

Why can't Protestants understand what is a "first born son" when the Bible itself tells us? "First born son" does NOT mean there were subsequent children! A "first born son" is a "male that opens the womb" (Luke 2:23; Exodus 13; Numbers 18:15-16), regardless of whether or not there are subsequent children.

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee by school Principal Jody McLoud, on September 1, 2000. I thought it was worth sharing with the world, and hope you will forward it to all your friends. It clearly shows just how far this country has gone in the wrong direction.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games to say a prayer and play the National Anthem to honor God and Country.
Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law.

As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it an alternate lifestyle, and if someone is offended, that's OK.

I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity by dispensing condoms and calling it safe sex. If someone is offended, that's OK.

I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a viable means of birth control. If someone is offended, it’s no problem.

I can designate a school day as earth day and involve students in activities to religiously worship and praise the goddess, mother earth, and call it ecology.

I can use literature, videos and presentations in the classroom that depict people with strong, traditional, Christian convictions as simple minded and ignorant and call it enlightenment.

However, if anyone uses this facility to honor God and ask Him to bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, Federal Case Law is violated.

This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical.

Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone except God and His Commandments.

Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules that they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical. I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression.

For this reason, I shall render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's and refrain from praying at this time. However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank God, and ask Him in the name of Jesus to bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that's not against the law — yet.

AND . . . one by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another, and began to pray. They prayed in the stands. They prayed in the team huddles. They pray at the concession stand. And they prayed in the announcer's box. The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United State's of America - the seat of "justice" in the one nation under God.
Somehow, Kingston, Tennessee, remembered what so many have forgotten . . . we are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion.

Praise God that His remnant remains!

Our modern science textbooks still teach our children that matter began as "simple cells" and evolved into more complex cellular structures. With the advent of microbiology, we now know that there is no such thing as a simple cell. Scientist Michael Denton puts it this way, "Although the tiniest bacterial cells are incredibly small, each is in effect a veritable micro-miniaturized factory containing thousands of exquisitely designed pieces of intricate molecular machinery, made up of 100,000,000,000 atoms, far more complicated than any machine built by man and absolutely without parallel in the nonliving world." This 'simple cell' turns out to be a miniaturized city of unparalleled complexity and adaptive design, including automated assembly plants and processing units featuring robot machines (protein molecules with as many as 3,000 atoms each in three-dimensional configurations) manufacturing hundreds of thousands of specific types of products. all by chance? All without a designer?

It seems like the Bible glorifies submissive behavior especially to the ruling government. Does this sheeple mentality apply if the ruling establishment is fundamentally corrupt and ruthless. Should we just lie down and let them have their way and wait for the G-man to intervene? Or should we stand up for our beliefs and our freedom by participating in civil disobedience? It seems like the Israelites/Early Christians were always enslaved and or persecuted. It's not that I condone violence or lawlessness. Just seems like God would want us to solve some of our own problems and assert our right to live free.
