S Scripture question?
i wanted to know if it actually says in the bible that the order goes god, then spouse, then child and if you can give me the actual scripture please? i am a christian i am just not good with finding scriptures. my parents love to throw this out at us. for example my stepdad said today hed rather take my mom on cruises and buy her jewlery then buy stuff for his kids. dont get me wrong we arent lacking in clothes and such i was just curious if this is true... if it is they certainly follow it. always putting themselves above us to make us feel inferior not in age but as human beings. and im not some whiney brat, i am 17 and work hard and buy a lot of my own stuff.. just curious. thanks for the help

i accidently asked this in fashion and beauty earlier. whoops.

Once again, I want your opinion and I do not do thumbs-down.
I will like if you do not insult or disrespect others in here!
Opinions is good to hear because we learn from one another! Everyone has a reason why they make changes in their life! Respect them, please.

If you could, what would you worship ( not god, something like a sock.)? What commandments would there be? Members?
just asking.... say anything.

Our only hope is in God's mercy. When we seek forgiveness, we must recognise that we do not deserve it and therefore cannot demand it. Our appeal must be for God's love and mercy, not for his justice. Although we cannot demand forgiveness, we can be confident that we have received it because God is gracious and loving and wants to restore us to Himself.

It's been a while since I have seen a mormon commecial but there are several points they always forget to mention. I wonder why. This would be a great commercial if it went something like this:

(First Joseph Smith would have to be introduced)
"This is our beloved Prophet who restored our gospel. He says he has more to boast about than any other man. He had many beautiful wives and was a Master Mason. He wrote the Book of Mormon by transcribing golden plates. He did this by placing them in his hat and reading them with a seer stone.

(Now Jesus has to be introduced)
This is Jesus. He is the brother of Lucifer. If you are completely obediant you can become a God and reside with Him in the Celestial Kingdom.

That should get plenty of converts shouldn't it?

For a while I have been confsed on the definition of both of these terms sooo I figured I might as well ask an unbiased group of people YOU GUYS!!!

I dont believe in any heavenly body, god, buddah, satan (i do think the idea of him is very cool), etc.
I think all religions that believe in heavenly bodies are strange.
However I dont believe in the Big Bang (i do believe in evolution, somewhat) and I believe in ghosts.
the twisted mind of a 16 year old girl is a strange place, so do u mind lending me your insight on the complications of my mind. PLEASE AND THANK YOU ;)

The reason I have asked all of these questions about my faith today seems to be that Satan is putting doubt and unbelief in my mind today. This comes directly after I have been studying the Bible diligently everyday for the past few weeks at home, going to church and participating in a women's Bible study at my church. His attacks are very strong to me today with all of this doubt. I know that I am to have faith and to not be double minded. Can anyone else attest to strong attacks from Satan after seeking the Lord Jesus with all their heart? I'd love to know. Thank you.

Jesus was in a mystic trance on the cross(stopped all life airs in the body, that is why they didn't have to break his legs, because he so called died so quick). He was not in the cave because he went out in his body and went on preaching in other lands. Read Gospel of the Nazirenes. Tells all. That makes more sense to me. Who is sincer enough to question this Higher truth???

This isn't to antagonize or upset anyone, but due to previous complications with a particular person on Yahoo!ANSWERS, I came to wonder:

Why is it so easy for many people to believe that God "always was and always will be" but it's much, much harder for these people to believe that the same could apply to the universe?

I just thought it was kind of funny that it's reasonable to beleive that God didn't have a creator and just "always is", but it's much harder to believe that the universe didn't have a creator and "always is".

Any suggestions? Explanations?

For a while, I've been religously confused...I was a Christian, but after watching all those people who are nuts about that, I didn't want to be anymore. I still don't want to be Christian. I tried Wicca, but I couldn't understand what I was doing. So now I say that I'm Pagan, because I love all religions no matter how bizzar. What exactly do I do? Please, don't say 'find Jesus', 'be Christian' or anything like that. Please, acctually help.

Hello everyone. This question invites both Christians and Atheists

Who is God, and why can’t we see this imaginary person who said to be the cause for all things?

I’ve mentioned that I’ve seen God to many people numerous times, and the Atheists said it was all in my mind and personal belief. I tried to explain how I came to see God, and they said they do not want to hear my mentally ill theories and madness. If you are an Atheist and an intellectual individual, I expect you to read my message in order to answer my question, which is “ Do you grasp my message?”

I know it's Christ, but i also noticed they first mentioned Christ by His name before they introduced the 'Slain Lamb'... so why refer to Christ as a Slain Lamb when they've already called Him Christ in the book? Also, why was the 'Slain Lamb' introduced in the first place? Wasnt' Chirst "always" around?

I also noticed "He who overcomes will not be hurt by the second death" Rev 2:11, which can be interpreted different ways meaning Christ's ressurrection and then ascension, but i doubt it cause He wasn't slain, God 'lifted' Him up.

Personally, i believe the 'Lamb' that is 'Slain' is what triggers the Day of the Lord, that it is possibly the "second death" of Christ... meaning He'd have to be reborn into this world, but under a different name... which is the only reason why they'd refer to Him as the "Slain Lamb" instead of Christ.

But of course that goes against "teachings", but the beauty of that is, no one is God... so they dont' really know.

Just a possibility.

Jesus Christ is real and He is our God!! There is a heaven and a hell! satan is also real! Jesus loves you and cares! Jesus is the only way too heaven! Jesus is the way too everlasting life! love comes from Jesus and hate comes from satan! wake up people this world is not going to get better. life is short. its up to you were you end up in heaven or hell. By the life you live. live for Jesus and accept Him then you will go too heaven. Don't live for Jesus and don't accept Him. then there is only one place you will end up and thats hell. people make up there on minds too while they want to end up when they die. where they realize it or not. the person has no one to blame but them selfs. if they end up in hell. Jesus is the only way too heaven and everlasting life with Jesus Christ! praying for the lost souls. Jesus loves you all. some people can get upset and say ugly things to christians and Jesus. they are only hurting themselfs. also it will not change the truth about God!

After just reading this in a book, I'm curious how many here believe it correct. If you believe it possible and happening, do you do all you can to help it come to fruition? What measures will facilitate apprehension?

"The goal ahead is the consciousness of non-separateness, and the recognition of a universal inclusiveness; the secondary goal is the ability to reveal the nature of that reality, Unity; the third goal is the ability to take those measures in the three worlds, which will facilitate mankind's apprehension of these fundamentals."
