Ok you know it gets to the point were the questions are beyond stupid they get right down pathetic,if we could describe God,especially the church no matter what the denomination don't you think it would have been done by now after well over two thousand years and who was God,before Jesus, try opening up a bible and study it there you will find the answer you seek or is that to hard to do because if you keep asking this question do you know how many different answers you will get because everyone one will have a different answers based on there beliefs or religious up bringing or denomination and that is the simple fact so quit being lazy and open up the Good Book, and find out for yourself.

Yes. But I won;t come any closer than better qualified people who have tried through 2000 years.
If I have to discuss God through the Old Testament, that is; before Jesus was on Earth, I would say that He has a nature about Him.
Some would say that He carries many 'hats'.
Provider, Shelter, Deliverer, Salvation, High and Mighty Tower, Healer, King, Peace, and more.
He is revealed as a Spirit, One God, Elohim (plurality of the one God), as calling someone God (Psalm 45), Adonai
( Lord) , as having a son (Proverbs 30:4 ), as a God who sends WORSHIP towards 'one like the son of man' (Daniel 7:13 -14).

Jesus is not God. The best description of God was given to us by Jesus in The Apocryphon of John. Be smart, believe Jesus, not christians.

in a nutshell, God was the creator, he then incarnated in flesh as Jesus to teach & salvate mankind. they say God being the father, and Jesus the son... but was already written & taught.... God the father+ God the son+ God the Holy Spirit = the Holy 3-in-1.
hope this answers your question....
