It seems that most of the questions are designed to demean the faith with lies. Not only to they post lies in their questions but inflamitory remarks in their answers. They deny the faith all together and take the answers that do it again. I thought Answers was a place to learn something but it seems it is more of the same stuff you would find in any local pit. You don't have to believe but at the same time I think what is going on ammount to working for the dark side. When will we as Christians get out there and at least stand up for our Lord. If it were a gay site and there were so many pretending to be gay and writing stuff like I have seen on here don't you believe this site would be shut down? Now just watch the un-believers post! On this site you are praised that you want to follow satin. You get tons of thumbs up for saying you want to be a witch. It is rewarded to put down Christians and all we care about. And if you want a thumbs down well just type the name "Jesus"!

If you think you are a spiritual individual, (for bonus points) how did you get that way or why do you think you are? Short answers will be immediately disregarded, for how can your answer be of any help to one striving to live in a spiritual way and get spiritual answers? Isn't this a Q&A forum? Shouldn't you have respect for the earnest who are here? And if you don't get that, why even bother answering, unless you have nothing better to do? And if you have nothing better to do, why are you here? (This may require a spiritual answer - oh what a paradox!!!)

i just wont to know why hazrat abu bakr was picked instead of hazrat ali and hazrat umar becasue the muslims needed good leadership which hazrat ali and hazrat umar had.

Often certain kinds of people condem religion using paedophile priests as examples. These people are exceptions to the norm. Many, many more from all religions are good and caring peopl. With that sort of reasoning the (ex)German Chancellor Adolf Hitler could be held up as an example of all politicians and therefore politics should be banned!?

Can your feeble human minds realize that there need not be a contrast for a concept to exist? If there is an abscence of all light and darknesscovered the universe, would we need light for there to be darkness? We may not have anything to compare the darkness to yet we would know it exists!!!!
Not everything is built upon simple contrast as it is only a human construct to define ideas and their place in the world.

I Corinthians 14:35."The bible teaches that women brought sin and death into the world, that she precipitated the fall of the race, that she was arraigned before the judgment seat of Heaven, tried, condemned and sentenced. Marriage for her was to be a condition of bondage, maternity a period suffering and anguish, and in silence and subjection, she was to play the role of a dependent on man's bounty for all her material wants, and for all the information she might desire... Here is the Bible position of woman briefly summed up."
If one ever wishes to find an explanation of woman's inferiority to men, one only has to look in the Bible. Paul makes clear and delineates the importance of woman recognizing her place, "ad nauseam." (See also I Cor. 11:3-12, I Timothy 2:8-15, I Peter 3:1-7, Ephesians 5:22-24, Col. 3:18-19.)

From what I've seen on this forum so far, basically any coincidence that worked in your favor is a miracle, and any time you had an accident but didn't die it is a miracle. When a plane crashes and everybody is killed save for a baby it is a miracle (nevermind all those dead people). When you find a husband or a home it is a miracle.

Here is the dictionary definition:
"an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause."

or

"A miracle, derived from the old Latin word miraculum meaning "something wonderful", is a striking interposition of divine intervention by a God in the universe by which the ordinary course and operation of Nature is overruled, suspended, or modified."

Aren't you cheapening the meaning of the term miracle if finding a penny in the street counts as a miracle?

Ideas are not defined by pure contrast but by the merit of the ideas and what they hold. Good can exist without evil; good does not exist because of a contrast in actions but by a love of humanity. Can love exist without hate; yes? Does hate intensify the meaning of love? Yes.
Many ideas can exist independently of each other yet these ideas set forth contrast which can intensify the substance of the belief.

Can anyone help me with this question?

On a previous question about what happened to Muslims between the time of their death and Judgement Day, this is what someone wrote (with no thumbs down).

"A soul that has been returned to the body is said to be in the Barzakh. The barzakh is a word that represents a place that separates this world with the final abode.
Souls go neither to hell or heaven. Not before Judgement Day."

Someone else wrote:

"Muslims believe in a life in the grave,Once the body is buried it will either experience pleasures in the grave or punishment in the grave,"

So how does this tie in with the idea of suicide bombers going to paradise and having 72 virgins? Do they skip this barzakh place? Or do they have to hang around in a coffin for the next few millenia (I'm hoping we've got a few millenia left) until the world ends?

I'm a little confused.

Be open/ honest about your faith.I only ask that you respect people who are not of your faith, who answer this question. I look at judging people becuase of their faith as hypocraful.
Why I asked if you changed during your life.
Becuase I did. I became what some Wiccan's call a solitary. I prefer being called a Pagan. I still believe in God/Christ. This belief never wavered.

Some people want Buddhists and Jains to call themselves Hindus. This question is for you. On one hand I do respect you because you do not intend to single us out. But I am curious on what you think about this.

About 7 years ago I used to call my self a Hindu until I realised the difference. Five of my friends back in High School were Hindu. Every year when they did their fasting, I was the one who did not feel apart of their tradition as much as I wanted to. I had no idea what was going on, whereas they had no idea about what was going on when our occasions came. My auntie is comes from a Brahman family, and she’s gone for someone’s Janoy. We have never done this so I have no clue how it works. Immediately I feel as if I am separated traditional wise. This does not effect our relations, but just that we have different belief systems.

I am not personally religious and for me the difference was not in our religion, but in our traditional ways. So thus, I do not call myself a Jain because of my religion, but because of our separate traditions.

I have no problem if you want to regard me as a Hindu at all. But wouldn’t it be confusing if Buddhists and Jains started calling themselves Hindu’s?

if Osama is tied up and in front of you now, what would you do?

- remember, he instigated the 9/11, he even instigated south east asian terror groups to TERRORISE countries like Singapore, Phillipines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Middle Eastern countries like Iraq, Iran, are at his mercy too. Even European nations and America have been his targets.

so what would you do to him?

** personally, i would slap him, and say "this is for the bomb victims." and then slap him another time and say "this is for you to wake up your idea" and then bring him to the police.

Sorry if I upset you.

It's been great messing with you people, I don't really expect you to accept my apology. I really don't care. If I upset you, grow up. A great deal of you knew, and probably replied seriously anyway. But it was just fun for me. Even if I was serious, why take me seriously? Even I would deem this character a lost cause. Have a good night, day, or morning.

God creates Adam and Eve, they are disobedient to God, God punishes them severely with hardship and death. They have children, Cain kill his brother, God tells him to leave and go far away, after a few years human population grows, God's angels look at human females with desire, they come down and take them as wifes. All Humanity turns disobedient to God except Noah. God is hurt by Humanity and regrets ever creating them. He tells Noah to build an arc. God sends the flood and everyone dies execpt Noah and his sons.

Is this a believable story?

Do you think maybe God could have done things differently to teach humans about life. Parents are usually responsible for the children. Usually the child reflects how good of parents he had. If the child is disobedient, bad mouthed spoiled brat, Isn't this the parents fault?

What do you think?

Isaiah
13:15 Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword. (13:15-18)
If God can find you, he will "thrust you through," smash your children "to pieces" before your eyes, and rape your wife.
13:16 Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.
13:17 Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it

-----If God can find you, he will "thrust you through," smash your children "to pieces" before your eyes, and rape your wife.
