I was a member of church for 10 yrs (off and on) and I have come to realize that everyone who goes to church is not necessarily aChristian. I'm looking for someone, who's looking for someone to love them like Christ loves the church.

My understanding is that Christians believe that "Christ died for your sins" and that "God gave his only begotten son (John 3:16)" etc.

Yet it is also believed that Jesus the Christ is resurrected and alive in the flesh.

So where's the sacrifice? 'Give' is forever. If you give a thing up, that's sacrifice. If you get it back, that's no sacrifice. God got his 'Son' back, so he never 'gave' anything.

And don't give me the 'He suffered and died' bit. Lots of people suffer and die, and for good causes, too, and none of them has come back alive in the body, so their sacrifice is real.

I was the dorm leader at a Christian kid's camp over the summer. I had five girls in my dorm ages 8, 10, 11, 11, and 12. We were together for five days.

I'm writing a generic letter and then I'm going to personalize a bit of it for each girl. I got pictures developed and I'm going to send those as well as a CD with the same pictures plus a video on it. I've also included a picture of myself from a team I was on at school.

Do you have any other ideas that won't be too costly? I want this to be a fun and encouraging package that they receive in the mail. I don't want to spend too much money though. I also don't want to get too many things or things that will be too heavy because that will cause the shipping price to increase a bunch.

Thanks so much!

At the onset of it? In the middle of it when things are getting pretty bad? When doing it yourself is simply not an option? or before it happens?
I wish I could say before, but I'm not that proactive.

Why do some take anti-Islam sites word for it when they say that Islam says something? Why don't they find out the whole truth about it? Here is one example. People say women are equal to dogs. What do you think about this?

Volume 1, Book 9, Number 474:
Narrated 'Aun bin Abi Juhaifa:

Volume 1, Book 9, Number 490:
Narrated 'Aisha:

The things which annul the prayers were mentioned before me. They said, "Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the praying people)." I said, "You have made us (i.e. women) dogs. I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in my bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I would slip away. for I disliked to face him."

I heard my father saying, "The Prophet led us, and prayed a two-Rak'at Zuhr prayer and then a two-Rak'at 'Asr prayer at Al-Batha' with an 'Anza (planted) in front of him (as a Sutra) while women and donkeys were passing in front of him (beyond that 'Anza)."

Supposedly they were created on day 6 and then God rested on day 7, a thousand years later by Christian Creationist logic. Please explain other than saying God can do anything.

I've been reading about love spells and hearing people say their bad because they interfere with free will. Then it got me to thinking about my problem. Though, I don't plan on using love spells or magic at all, it made me think. Yes it is interfering with free will if you make someone fall in love with you, but what if they are already in love with you? isn't there spells that could push things to the next step...like to help him have the confidence to take the nex step or to ask me out? I am in love with some one who is in love with me but he is taken at the moment. He wants to break up with his gf because him and i both know their relationship is a joke!!!! Aren't there spells that can help him to move on and come to me and not be afraid to come to me just because i'm a guy and he knows its time to act on his feelings? Could a love spell actually play a part in this and could free will still remained untainted??

I have a friend who told me earlier, that it says in the Bible that a plague is going to take over the world, and she says she knows that plague is Technology.
Everything is now running on all technology now days, and in about 10 years, it is going to land up that everyone is going to run out of money of the famous computers. Everything is now running by computers, and later everyone is going to have to have a computer. Everything is going to be running by the famous computers, like there is now:
Electronic Billboards
Electronic Doors
Cars and Trucks are now operated by computers
TVs, VCRs, DVD Players/Recorders are running by computers.

Public libraries are going to be out of business, because of the famous computers.
In my school days, students we used to "READ FROM THE LIBRARY"
If we keep having technology taking over this country, we are going to run out of money where we cannot buy gas. It's like the internet and we know more than God.

What is this world coming to?

I am Christian and I am very much into following what the Lord say's is right. Through out my life girls have considered me a pretty attractive man, and I’ve never had problems getting them, but since High School I have always had problems keeping them because they wanted to have sex, and I believe sex should wait until marriage, but will most girls leave if I won't have sex until marriage?

Feel the need to criticize the beliefs of others?
There are hundreds of beliefs, and if you use the statics I've seen a bout the whole "God has to exist" Then use more and say, why is your god, the real one?

Or is that a sin for thinking against him?

Due to the overall size of the ark (which really is not that large, since you have to watch out for a extremely large ships to break their backs due to physics), where did they store all the food for the animals for 375 days?
Oh, and yes people, they were on the ark for 375 days. That means that you had to bring 375 days of food for horses, elephants (do you know how much they eat), you had to bring live animals to butcher to feed the lions (of which you had to feed the slaughter animals throughout), etc. It is impossible all around. But there are people who still hold that story as totally true. Amazing how in the face of all the facts, that people can turn a blind eye and refuse to accept the impossibility of the ark story.

a 24-hour day?

Some christians say that the days in the 7 days of creation (including the day God rested) are not a 24-hour day. Then why do christians keep the sabbath on a 24-hour day basis?

Exodus 20:11 "For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it."

This verse is pretty clear. If some christians still believe that it was not on 24-hour day basis, then why do these christians keep the sabbath on a 24-hour day basis? Aren't they contradicting themselves by doing so?

Few religious folks consider the reason that faith is required and that faith is a serious matter. Few religious folks understand the importance attached to NOT eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Religious leaders do not want a skeptical, inquisitive flock because they are too difficult to manage. Is religion and their required method of knowing the anti-science?
