Have you ever had your house blessed?

and what was the whole blessing of the house like? what did the priest say,ect?
did you feed him dinner?
what kind of conversations did you have?

if a house is new (newly bought or built) people here (Philippines) often have it blessed. My relatives had theirs blessed before. I don't know what the priest is exactly saying since there were a lot of guest and i was a kid then, we were at the back of the crowd. anyway, the priest is saying passages from the Bible and sprinkling holy water around the house. at one time, the owner will throw around candies and coins for the guest to pick up, mostly the kids do this. i don't know what's the purpose of that. but those candies and coins are also blessed by the priest. and since house blessing over here is sort of like a big party, the guests and the priest stay for a reception afterwards.

my mom, on the other hand, had our rented apartment blessed. it was a simple house blessing that you might also want to know about. she did that because she kept having nightmares at night. the priest read Bible passages and sprinkling holy water all around the house. there wasn't a party afterwards.

Yes, I bought my house in 1997, I had no idea what kind of people had lived there before me.
So, I lit some Sage and walked Thur the house asking God to bless this home but to make it a restful place with a lot of Joy. I also asked God to keep my door open so others can come and rest and relax here. All my neighbors(one on each side of me) have had some kind of break in the last few months, but my home was not touched.
This house is blessed and so am I.

Great question! If you've asked Jesus into your life as your Lord and Savior, then you have the authority to bless your house!!! You don't need a priest to do it. Jesus gave us all authority over the enemy. You can buy some anointing oil at a Christian book store, or just use cooking oil, or water, and ask the Lord to bless it in the name of Jesus. Then you just put some on your finger and go into each room of your house and say, "In the Name of Jesus, I command anything that is not of the Lord Jesus Christ to leave immediately!" and then you dab some oil, or water onto the windows, and telephones, and computers, and tvs in every room, and ask the Lord to bless them. Lastly, you anoint the door on your way out of the room to seal the room up as blessed. That's all there is to it! Christians have no idea the authority we carry in the Name of Jesus!!! It's time to learn!!! The devil has been defeated, it's time to know who we really are in Christ!!!! God bless you sister, there's no need to be afraid. If you feel fear, rebuke it and command it to leave in Jesus' Name! You have the authority, and it's important to anoint your house often! It's warfare, and we need to be on guard. After you've anointed, just ask the Holy Spirit to fill your house, and ask the Lord to send angels. You'll feel His presence, and it'll be great!

There are tons of other scriptures with promises of authority over the enemy when we use the Name of Jesus. He gives His beleivers ALL authority over the enemy! Praise the Lord!

our home was blessed by a Baptist minister after we had 2 apparitions in the house of a glowing red human shape. He walked into every room quoting scripture. No dinner. He understood because his house had one, too, It was a female voice that screamed in the shower! Another day I spoke out loud and told 'it' to go on to the light because it's time to live on earth was over, that it was my time to live there. No more sightings.

My house is blessed because prophet Moahmmad visited this house in dream of my wife. And we feel a lot of blessings and fruit trees in my house bear more fruit and every thing is just like protected from offence and lossess.

He sprinkled holy water and said a prayer in each room related to its use. It was mid-morning, so we gave him coffee and a muffin. We talked about the liturgical abuse in the parish. He also blessed the cars. I can't remember if we gave him a donation or not.
