We are always modest in our dress. At least we should be. We believe our bodies are temples and should be respected.
We encourage all our youth to wait until marriage for sex. It doesn't always work that way, but there are fewer unwed mothers in our faith than in others.
We really aren't that different. Other than the no coffee, tea, tobacco and alcohol thing in our practices of our faith. Click the link below for answers to ALL your questions about our beliefs:

God was once a man: True. Body of flesh and bone: True God lives NEAR a place called Kolob (not ON Kolob). We don't know where this is. We have a heavenly Mother as well. We pray only to God. There is no specific doctrine about Christ being married or not being married. Many speculate that he was and that the marriage spoken of in the New Testament was his. There is no official doctrine on the matter. Only speculation. If he was, that's fine. If he wasn't, that's fine too. God is our father. As a child, we can grow up to be like him. We are all spirit brothers and sisters. Christ, Lucifer, me, you, Hitler, Stalin, Picaso, Colombus, etc. We do NOT teach that God and Mary had sex. We DO however teach that Mary was a virgin when Christ was born and that they (Mary and Joseph) waited to consummate their marriage until after Christ's birth. Anytime someone makes that claim, know that they're purposefully trying to slander Mormons and teach falsehoods. We should not pray to Jesus. We SHOULD, however, seek to know him, understand him, and follow him. Christ is the promised Messiah, the "God of the Old Testament" and is the son of God the father. We did live in a pre-existence before this life. Those that were valiant followed Christ and received the right to come to earth. We make no claim that Mormons were the good ones and that poor people in Africa were the bad ones. That is absolutely false. We are all children of our Heavenly Father and he loves us all. There are individuals that God has cursed. In addition to cursing that individual he identified them with dark skin. The skin is handed down to their children. The curse is not. We do not teach that dark skinned individuals will become lighter over time when righteous. The Garden of Eden was in Missouri and presumably civilization moved with the Ark. There's also the possibility that it was more of a regional flood rather than a world wide flood depending on how you interpret the Bible. In any case, Noah landed in the old world after the flood. Animal resurrection....I believe that that is true, but I'd have to look it up to say for certain. Rainbows: true, and I believe that prophecy is in the Bible, but I'd have to look it up. Biggest mormon misconception ever. SATAN DOES NOT RULE THE WATERS. However that doesn't mean that some Mormons don't believe that it's a doctrine. There are specific missionary rules regarding water (Mainly because of diving boards, undertows, and bikini's) that advise missionaries to stay out of the water. We drink water for the sacrament and baptize in water. Sun and Kolob - We don't teach that the sun gets it's light from Kolob. I'm laughing at this one. The "blood" is purely symbolic. We don't believe that there's a purging of gentile blood and a replacement with Israelite blood. Wow....where do people get this stuff. We DO NOT TEACH that a righteous Mormon will see the face of God in the Mormon Temple. False angels. The color of hair has nothing to do with it. There is a section in the D&C that does explain how to identify an angel of God vs an angel of the devil with a hand shake. I'm sure someone else will list that section (I'm too tired to look it up). Hope that helps. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions or want clarification on anything.

In ephecians 6:10-19 it says to put on the full armor of God, but mormons still insist on putting garments on, that this scripture in their KJV bible and the christians bible is not enough and they must dawn their garments to protect themselves and as a sign that they have been to the temple, it also inforces modesty. For those who have not gone to the temple, there are standards, no low cut shirts, no low skirts, they wear dresses to church, no pants suits, when a lady sits down her skirt must still go over her knees, ect. No sex before marriage, they do not court (as describe in the book "I kissed dating good-bye" a christian book) they do not go past kissing. They start dating at age 16, and when I was mormon in the 80's and dating they had stake dances to meet others these dances were chaperoned.

Again, people show amazing and unashamed ignorance.
There are no "sex rules" for Mormons. At least, I've never been taught any "sex rules" except for no sex before marriage and total fidelity after. But, nothing like what positions are verboten, or that you can only do it when youw want to conceive.
IMHO, what a married couple does in their bedroom is between them and God and no one else. As long as no one is hurt, it's up to them.

From a general perspective, LDS (Mormons) tend to set high standards for themselves...sometimes Mormon Lifestyle can seem a little "strict" for someone who isn't a member of the church.
-Obidience to God's commandments, pray regularly, keep the Sabbath Day holy
-Because we believe in the Word of Wisdom (a revelation given to Joseph Smith), we are taught to abstain from alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, coffee, and things that may be hazardous to our health.
-Pre-marital sex is also a big no-no. (Law of Chastity)
-Taught to dress modestly, refraining from revealing clothing.
-Most LDS do not allow children to date until 16 years of age, which I think is pretty responsible
These are just a few of the basic "rules". Feel free to email me, I'd be glad to answer any questions you may have :)

Remove the part of your brain that recognizes the "I" (ego) part of your personality, plus any rational, critical or independent thought you may harbor. From the moment you arise from the waters of baptism, the Holy White Men of Salt Lake will provide your thinking for you.
As for sex, the only prescribed method is the "missionary" (what else) position; anything else is considered 'perverted'. I can make the letter sent to all the bishops stating precisely what may 'arise' in your bedroom if you'd like, but if you can imagine it, you can't do it.
You'll need to purchase your own underwear, of course.

I don't know that the rules are really interesting. I would look into temple ordinances and the nature of priesthood if you were looking for distinctive features of Mormon religiosity that might interest an outsider. If it's matters of theology, they have a very interesting notion of God the Father and the purpose of life. Definitely worth looking into if you like alternative modes of reading the Bible.
All the best,
Lazarus

First off, they don't like it when you stand in front of a blue background with a red stripe. They'll give you grief in the bishops interview about it.
Then they don't like it if you drink coffee or Jack Daniels.
Stupid stuff like that. Not supposed to have sex unless you're planning on getting pregnant. Not supposed to use your garments to mop the floor.
